  1. I support this suggestion. While I don't feel like it's a huge deal having to type the /vtc command, it's stil typo-prone and tedious. Actually, this suggestion is quite similar and already on hold: Little Modification for the new /vtc command
  2. I use my username not only in-game, but also in communication channels of e.g. TruckersMP and my VTC. I'm not comfortable with the idea that my username might expire during a slightly longer break. If such a mechanism got realized anyways, there should at least be warning e-mails starting a few months before any expiry date is reached for activated accounts. In general, I'd much prefer Niuro's less intrusive proposal of reminding inactive players to voluntarily delete their accounts. Possibly they could even be provided with an easy option to free up their username while keeping the account itself alive. However, I'm uncertain whether there would be a sufficient response rate from former players to justify implementation efforts.
  3. I really like the idea of helping to "prepare" an event by hauling special-purpose vehicles to the event location. However, I think I'd prefer not to allow access to such types of cargo year-round without any event in sight. Having numerous trailers with special vehicles on the road wouldn't enhance the simulation experience for me, plus the alike-looking cargo would reduce the visibility of real police vehicles.
  4. I support this suggestion. Personally, I'd probably keep it turned off outside of convoys for immersion, but can totally see how it can be helpful. I'd even prefer making the feature available for all players and not just patreons. Actually, an identical suggestion got already accepted: km/h & mp/h (current speed) display also for players / patreons
  5. This feature would make a useful addition. For daily driving, I probably wouldn't use it too much, but occasionally - like in the starting area of big convoys - it would be helpful to turn off the tags while leaving the chat visible.
  6. I also disagree with this suggestion. For my part, I don't want the screen to become more cluttered with larger tags, or to have the tag-column in the tab menu take up more space. I can already communicate all the information I deem necessary with the current tag (my VTC name and my primary non-English language).
  7. Especially for driving together in convoys or the like, it would be cool if the weather was synchronized across clients like the time already is today. To prevent splitting the player base, I wouldn't differentiate between servers; instead, I would leave it up to each client whether the winter-mod is installed or if rain is enabled (all while keeping it synchronized for those who have enabled it).
  8. I'd appreciate this feature. To adjust the sorting order at every start of ETS seems like an unnecessary manual step (which I occasionally forget). Furthermore, when using some external tools to dispatch jobs, ETS gets restarted frequently, which in turn can increase the frequency of having to adjust the sorting order.
  9. Personally, I don't think I would install this mod. When driving in dimly lit areas with little traffic, it can already be slightly uncomfortable right now if approaching drivers don't lower their headlights. Therefore, I would prefer to keep high beams from shining even brighter. I can see how some drivers might benefit from the mod, though. Offering it to those who want more powerful light effects is of course perfectly fine, as long as it is optional and only affects the client on which it is installed.
  10. In general, tweaking the high-ping kick system to handle certain situations differently may well be beneficial. Some of us are limited to wifi connections, and for ETS, the EU servers are established as the place-to-be regardless of one's physical location. For me personally (playing non-arcade in Germany via wifi), the current system already works quite well. On very rare occasions, it kicks me when my ping spikes significatly and exceeds the threshold for relatively short, but still slightly too long, period of time. This is understandable and fine as it happens so rarely. Nonetheless, having the connection kept alive a little longer, e.g. in non-collision zones or when noone else is around at all, would be cool. Perhaps "simply" increasing the duration of a ping to be long enough to trigger the kick under those conditions would already help. However, I'm not in favor of completely disabling the high-ping kick for any speed ranges or map zones outside of arcarde. While avoiding collisions may be feasible at slower speeds, players constantly having a massive ping can impede a smooth drive and, in general, doesn't feel immersive.
