Not always, if you turn V-Sync off you might get a boost in FPS, also depends what PC you are using

to me they kinda trolling the TMP community, because "rec ban" has become sort of a meme now, everyone say rec or rec ban so they pretty much use it in nicknames or tag to make fun of people who say it, also most of the time people who have it as tag or nickname they arent really recording

i think SCS knows that there is a multiplayer which is TMP, yes TMP is an extra mod for ETS 2 but still, i think 128 people on convoy mode is still not enough to ruin TMP servers, the servers will always be full, and TMP is also doing a lot for the game to not loose players

2 ways on how to fix this: Go to Steam > Library > right click on ETS 2 > Properties > Installed files > Verify game files. After this start ETS 2 on Direct X 64 Bit, spawn in a truck for one minute and save your game Second method is to go on Control Panel > Deinstall Truckers MP > then delete all your Truckers MP folders, when you did that reinstall Truckers MP again.
