Making a profile work after downgrading

Hey there! I just downloaded this mod and I am really excited to get started. I had a pretty good save going on the latest version of the game, however after down grading I am unable to use that save with Truckers MP. Is there a fix I can do to be able to use my save? Or do I have to start a new game? Thanks!
