Hello @liinus,
This issue is unfortunately very common among TruckersMP players and has been a well-known synchronization problem for a long time.
A friend of mine was seriously affected by this situation. While driving at 110 km/h, he was covering more distance than the player next to him, and as a result, a synchronization issue that has existed in the game for 1–2 years was overlooked, and he was banned for alleged cheating.
Despite submitting an appeal, the ban was not lifted, and he is still waiting for the ban period to end. His account was quite old and had never received any bans before. The fact that his first ban was caused by such a technical synchronization problem was very upsetting for all of us.
We have tried to develop some methods to reduce the impact of this issue. Although these are not a complete solution, they can significantly reduce the chances of encountering the problem:
If your vehicle is not standard (for example, accessories not available in the service menu, externally added or duplicated bull bars, LED designs, or duplicated interior cabin lights), reducing or removing them is recommended.
Set your maximum FPS limit according to your monitor’s refresh rate.
(For example, if your monitor is 144 Hz, limit your FPS to 144.)
In the graphics settings, disable secondary vehicle lighting and other vehicles’ lights, then apply the settings.
After joining a TruckersMP server, open TAB > Settings > Graphics and:
- Disable beacon light reflections (strobe) from other vehicles.
- Disable other players’ cabin driver models, steering wheel animations, and the visibility of cabin accessories.
- If you want to be extra safe (though it may slightly affect immersion), you can also disable other players’ shadows.
TruckersMP requires more performance than Singleplayer.
Being able to play Singleplayer on ultra settings does not mean the same settings will be stable in TMP. Lowering graphics settings slightly in TMP can provide a more stable and synchronized experience.
In summary, this problem is often not caused by the player, but by server – client synchronization and FPS/performance inconsistencies. Hopefully, such technical issues will be evaluated more carefully in the future to prevent unfair bans.
Kind regards,
