      Welcome back friend.

  3. Please just trust us when I say that we, as moderators (granted, I'm not a game mod), are really trying.
  4. The great thing is ETS2 is still rising up in its peak ever player count. 4 months ago it reached 69k concurrent players. ATS peaked at 19k which was when it released 8 years ago. It does look like ATS' player count is slowly on the rise, looking at the Steam Database charts, however I doubt it'll ever beat ETS2. As to why it never took off like ETS2 did, I don't know. Of course the TMP servers can only take from the pool of players who already own the game, and it'd only be a proportion at that. I do agree, it would be nice to see those servers fill up more, though
  5. I will give a cookie to everyone if no-one responds after this comment...
  6. Read section 2.2.2 of the privacy policy on the website.
  7. It's great to be back, thank you for all the profile congrats! ❤️

  8. Personally I'd argue against this for the pure fact that malicious links are a big thing these days. Couldn't expect a game moderator to click these links to find out if it's something they should moderate. Comes with all sorts of risks like a moderators account being compromised in some of the worse case scenarios.
  9. Ban lengths are set based on guidance given by the team. If a player is being punished against the rules, what's the problem? If an admin has rejected a report and not issued a ban, again it's for a reason. We aren't talking about criminals ingame are we? We are talking about players in game who in reality did no harm by ramming you.
  10. This convo is getting kinda boring now. We get that everyone disagrees. The changes are what they are.... lets move on from this now
  11. This is a preventative measure that TMP can do to help protect all staff members. That's what any responsible employer/organisation etc would do.
  12. Because that's what's been chosen? It really should have always been the case anyways. Not sure why you even need to argue about it. In most places you're lucky to get a reason or evidence to support the ban unlike here lol.
  13. Because it's possible doesn't mean that has to be ok and the norm. Staff members still have the right to not have to take abuse, regardless of whether you say they should or not.
  14. Ignoring it is a part of the problem and doesn't resolve anything = they've been ignoring it for over 9 years. And you wonder why the turnover is fairly constant? Anything that is done to actually keep GMs here is a bonus in my book.
  15. Just because someone can "take" having insults thrown at them for no good reason, doesn't mean they should have to take those insults when giving up many hours a week volunteering for a game that is basically a losing battle with the way a lot of players break the rules. Imagine someone plastering all over your social media profiles, calling you a "p*do" and similar stuff all because they got banned from a game. A game which Game Moderators are trying their best to keep running the best they can. This happened to me, back when I was in Management here at TMP. While I didn't care about being called something I know I am not, It did bother me that others may see that and think otherwise of me, all because of someone who cannot control their anger and appeal a ban correctly. Anonymising should really have been a thing from the very beginning, players just don't like losing sight of what they've had for years. Everyone will get used to it - it'll be forgotten in times to come. Sometimes you have to ride the rough sea to reach the brighter end, this is one of those changes. Just because someone is behind a computer screen does not mean they should be treated any less well than someone you meet on the street. A threat, or a physical punch up, either way you would come off as *words that cannot be said here.* (And no, I don't mean YOU, I just mean whoever said the threats.) Game Moderators deserve respect. It's stressful and hard work no matter who you are. Can conform this is the case also, has been the case for many years. Just thinking about the comment in regards to the internal rules and guidelines. Might be worth these being published in the rules section here on the forums. I cannot recall anything in there that wouldn't be ok for players to see. Players might actually also have some good suggestions that aren't in there and would help the general player base feel more confident about Game Moderation here at TMP. It's all about being as transparent as possible I guess.
  16. Something can be against the rules without it needing a ban being applied to a user. Looking at video 2, while it was reckless it wouldn't really have needed a ban as they are, in reality just being silly, It didn't hurt anyone. You weren't going fast and were well aware of what was going on around you which allowed you to stop in time. If they had cut you off in this instance, hitting your bumper or similar they would have more likely got a ban. I recommend you go through this thought process: - Did they follow the traffic signs? - Did they cause a collision? (Yes: Report, No: They likely would have been kicked, no report needed)
