  1. They were changed from yellow to white because it too closely matched the report message for admins. Since this is removed, it can be changed back, although this is a rather small suggestion and I'm sure there's more important things taking up the developer's time right now.
  2. @Ryeng It's not a problem to tag me, it's better than quoting the above statement which is against the forum rules. Render range = draw distance, same thing. The best way I can explain it, is with a picture. On the left is how my truck looks when someone else sees it on their client, and on the right is how I see it at that position when I look at it myself. As for why there isn't an option to override these somewhat ugly effects, I don't know myself. I wish there was, but like I said, it was the developer's choice.
  3. ^Not really. All of these reductions still take place on the client side, the server loads everything regardless. Developer's choice, not mine. Kind of sad about it myself although it is for FPS reasons again, but that doesn't really make sense in my application because I'm running a Titan X.
  4. @Ryeng Headlight distance and vehicle details (interior, outside accessories, grille) render range were also greatly reduced with no option to make them back to how they were previously.
  5. The draw distances are much higher than you'd imagine for the server, and they have been since the dawn of time. The vehicles are loaded instantly from about 600-800m but the client just 'holds' back when you can actually see them. As far as you can see the white (sometimes blue) lines, that's when the vehicle is actually loaded. You should be able to test this yourself in-game with console command g_developer 32 , even though my camera is dynamic, it should work similar for you when driving. The reason this was done was so players would have a more reasonable FPS in traffic jams to reduce accidents, although at times it can indeed work the exact opposite, so for the most part I'm in favor of your suggestion.
  6. So the AFK kick is working as intended. We even added a message brodcasted to others in the area when this happens. Ever wonder what it means when someone gets kicked by "SYSTEM"? Now you know Also, this topic is several months old when alt-tabbing used to freeze the game and mess with the AFK timer, but now it doesn't anymore.
  7. The screenshot you showed tells us all, because if you were actually banned you won't be able to bypass the login screen and connect to the server. I've seen this bug quite a bit lately.
  8. This is more of a connection problem than anything, it probably doesn't matter what kind of PC you have. Try to stay away from high populated areas, as your internet may just not be up to the task of loading in 100+ trucks around the same time. It's more of a download issue rather than upload, as you're still connected to the server, able to send packets about your location, but you just can't see chat or other trucks. I do believe this is being looked at, and possibly kicking from the server so you don't damage others unaware of it, but I have no information on the status of that.
  9. Hi, this bug should be fixed now. Generally it can take a little bit before everything shows up on the TAB menu correctly when connecting to the server, but once it's loaded in, it's there for good.

So reinstalling the mod probably won't help you very much with this. There's nothing I can do to help you with this, but this is actually a bug within multiplayer. It can be reproduced by attempting to drag the menu in a place other than the top (the sides, middle, bottom). Only fix for now is indeed to restart the game.
  11. Hi, at the moment draw distance is reduced in busy areas for performance reasons (so it changes by itself based on the amount of people around you). I believe it's around 30 players or something when it starts to become noticeable. You shouldn't worry about it for now, but just know the draw distance in your settings gets overridden by this "dynamic" one for now.
  12. The issue could possibly be related to development logging, which you can disable in the TAB menu's general settings. I was having the same problem a while back, the problem may be happening because if you have this option enabled, at times it can hang the game as it's logging sometimes 100+ lines of text regarding truck details in a file for every single person that loads in.
  13. ^ There are well over a million now, this is a very old post and I'm not sure why it is suddenly active again.
  14. Steam names were changed to TruckersMP names in-game. If you want to write your company name in that, you can still do so.
  15. Probably not going to happen. I know some guys that have more hours than I do (5,462) and they still continue to get bans. You're lucky we even have a queue, there were times that didn't even exist.
  16. Hi, I can confirm the FPS drops and heavy microstuttering in ATSMP even running a high end computer + g-sync monitor. They aren't a result of your computer, but rather an issue with the multiplayer. I believe it's being worked on.
  17. If this bug happens, please pull over immediately (if you are driving), and restart your game. It's not a good idea to drive when people are stuck 2000+meters away because you'll be driving through people and not even know it.
  18. There was a bug causing this problem, but I just drove for 45 minutes or so and saw no such issue, so it's been patched.
  19. You guys are completely clueless as to how the system works then. When someone gets banned via report, if they are in-game at the same time, they don't get "banned" until they restart their game. So if they get banned on the website, they could be auto-kicked, and when they try to come back, they'll see they've been banned just like normal. It's a good idea because someone could completely bypass their ban technically if they just never closed their game after being banned on the website. That's why this is suggested.
  20. It's going to lag no matter what is it's Rotterdam. I have a cutting edge PC and it still lags. There's no way around that. You are running a game that is not meant to have 70 other high quality trucks and trailers near you at once.
  21. Try changing CPU preset in advanced options. I'd first go with superfast then move to ultrafast as a last resort. The faster the setting, the lower the quality will be when you are making fast movements, but will help if your processor can't handle the slower ones. If you are using a 1080p screen, it also may help your computer if you downscale it to 1280x720 in the video tab.
  22. ^ Yes, when their truck/trailer is out of your zone, it's like they don't exist (can't collide, see chat, hear CB), so yes.
  23. So the reason that this was removed is because when a user would go to take a World of Trucks job, it often would get cancelled immediately due to a change on how they spawn. Due to lots of complaints, it was removed. Now, technically the trailer limit is still in place. For example if you leave the trailer in a location, then drive away, it will disappear on other player's screens when you are past that 600m limit. So if you see someone's trailer on the road you can guarantee their vehicle is in the near vicinity.
  24. This generally is caused by two things, a slow computer, and also having "development logging" enabled in the multiplayer settings. Keep in mind if you disable it, the lag may go away but you will no longer have logs of players that were near you if you were trying to find their information later. The illustration below shows where to find it to turn it off:
  25. Hi, You can go into camera 1 (inside the cab), open the tab menu, and right click to activate the mouse. From there there's a button located on the CB radio to turn it off. Keep in mind this will have to be done every time you restart the game (for now at least). I also believe you can mute the CB volume in the multiplayer settings but I'm not 100% on that.
