  1. Firstly, the speed limit change was for the interest of the player base, and we have to understand that this is still a video game. So, you can expect that everything won't be fully in line with 'Simulation'. Secondly, C-D isn't an actual road - it was created by SCS, like many other roads. TruckersMP have nothing to do with the creation of the map, they only made these form of edits to help ease traffic on busy roads. If the map was on a full real life scale then the map would be much larger. That's why there's a mod called Promods, which attempts to make the map realistic.
  2. As with a lot of things in life, things take time. You can't just plant a tree sapling one day and expect it to be fully grown the next. As for the data, there can be many reasons for the changes - such as holidays, strikes, global events, etc... so you will never have a constant flow of data. As for the offences remaining the same, it doesn't really matter because, at the end of the day, the players who choose to break TMP rules will be punished accordingly. As for the evaders, the only time they are wasting is their own because the moderation team have their own special tools to catch them.
  3. Understandably, you are being sarcastic (or at least, I think you are) but I'd like to use your comment to make a point to those who believe in this idea. Turning an area of road this large will essentially ruin the feel of a simulation server - it might as well be another Arcade server. However, the point is, even if the developers removed this road, the player base will find another stretch of read and that will end up being the new Calais to Duisburg. Many veteran members of this community will tell you that C-D wasn't always the most famous road, and this proves that it doesn't matter what stretch of road it is, if enough players drive on it, it will inevitably get popular. So I ask you this, if the developers do make C-D a non-collision area and then the player base decides to make another road the new 'C-D', do we make that a non-collision area as well? If we do, then in time, the majority of the map will be non-collision. I fail to see what the issue of this new update is. If anything, it means the Game Moderator can 'moderate' the servers with more ease, and it's obvious the reason why GMs do web reports is so they can help fellow colleagues, and report moderators. Now it's not all the player base that does this but a portion of them enjoy driving on roads like this to rank up *report points*, as if it's some kind of game because eventually a player will have some accident with them - leaving the frequent road user screaming "rec ban". Then low and behold, you have reports flying in from all directions which puts a lot of stress on the Moderation team. It's as simple as this: Fewer web reports = Flexibility to GMs = More in-game reports being viewed. It also means that there will be fewer web reports since the GM could've already reviewed the report in-game.

  6. Suggestion Name: VTC Job Tracker Suggestion Description: While you are in a VTC, this tracker will track the jobs that you complete, how many miles you've done and the income of the job. This will only finish tracking when you have completed a job or cancelled it. If the job was cancelled then it won't add to the website of your VTC. It will also show how much damage you acquired while you're transporting cargo. Once a job has been completed, it will be displayed on your VTC page. For people who wish for this information to be private, then there will be an option given to the VTC owner to set that as an option. This will work the same as Trucksbooks but this will not require any third-party devices since it will be exclusive to TMP. If a member of your VTC is no longer the driver then the system will recognise that and remove them automatically from the job tracking panel. Therefore, you won't have to fuss around trying to remove an ex-members stats. I do understand that my description is fairly brief, but I am sure that people who are already in VTC's or own a VTC will be able to understand what I am on about. To put it simply, this will be a mechanic that tracks your jobs and shares them on your VTC page. Any example images: Please note that the income and mileage may not be accurate, this is only a rough sketch of how it could look like on the website of your VTC. Why should it be added?: First and foremost I do understand that this could take a lot of work to implement, however, I believe that this will be a helpful mechanic to add. It also eliminates the issue of using third-party software to track mileage. Understandably, there are loads of VTC's who already do this and may wish to continue doing so even if this gets implemented but there are a load of new VTC's who may not be aware of how to do it. As mentioned on the VTC page, it says "Improve the experience". By adding a tracker, I do believe will do just that since it is something that has been missing out in the virtual trucking community. As said earlier, I understand that this could take a lot of work to implement since not only will there be work needed to implement a tracking system but to share the results onto the website also. You'll also have to work on an option setting that allows VTC owners to reset the tracker since some VTCs resets their hours monthly. Realistically, this could come with a lot of grey areas and could take a lot of time to add but I do feel like once it is done it would make an amazing feature!
  7. Suggestion Name: Adding UTC time to tab-menu. Suggestion Description: In the tab menu, you can see that there's quite a lot of space towards the right. Next to where it says "Players Near You". Within this space, you could add the current UTC. After you add this, you'll notice that there's still a lot of free space but since nothing has been added here in the past, I believe it would make an ideal space to show the time. I'm sorry if this description may be short but I feel like what I am trying to describe is fairly straightforward. Any example images: Why should it be added?: Understandably, this is a small feature and some may say that this isn't needed. However, when you create a report it asks you "Tell us when the offence was recorded" and it gives you options to choose the date and time. Now if you are like me, you sometimes forget the time it occurred since you are focusing on other things. Yes, you can type /time (can't remember the command) but it's likely you'll still be driving at that time - so it's unsafe for you to place your focus on typing this command while you are driving. This is because you are likely to cause a collision since you don't have 100% focus on your screen. Even though it's likely that pressing 'TAB' also diverts your focus but it's safer than trying to type a command. It's also worth mentioning that some players have their tab menu open at all times - which means that the possibility of having their attention diverted via trying to press 'TAB' is very unlikely.
  8. If you are not a fan of the current colour, there are ways where you can change them manually. You can achieve this searching for different type of UIs, which some will also change the font of the text inside of TMP (e.g. the font of player names). If searching for one becomes a pain, I will kindly share one which includes Bold text and a Dark UI (Thanks to @Krewlex for sharing first). It's worth mentioning also that this is quite simple to do! Download this file and unzip it Head towards the following folder 'C:/ProgramData/TruckersMP/data' From there, drop the ets2_mod folder you have downloaded into that folder. Please note that you should not rename the folder because it won't work. If there's any confusion, this is how it should look; You can also use this to work with American Truck Simulator, simply create of copy of ets2_mod folder onto your desktop, rename it ats_mod and drag it back into that folder. Once you've launched TMP again, you'd have noticed it's worked. I hope this helps! ?
  9. People have their reasons for leaving, moving on or just going on to try something new. However, with the amount of hours they've put in to this project, I can say that they deserve it since they are the back bone of the project and are the ones that keeps it going. Understandably, Project Red could've paid more but as I mentioned above, people have their reasons. What's best to do is respect they've made this choice since we can tell it's what they'd have wanted to do. But as mentioned in the post by leaving their job allows them to spend more time on TruckersMP, so we can expect some amazing updates/additional features down the road!
