As far as I know it is not illegal to do software reverse engineering (at least the way we need it) in most countries. We don't completely replicate ETS2 and then sell the product, we just expand it and don't earn any money with it. But I'm not a lawyer either. Otherwise we would be back to the first old topic: agreements with SCS. It must be possible to talk to the company. After all, they earn a lot of money through us. Either by providing a legal interface for us or at least by allowing reverse engineering.

I also think the open source idea is a great idea! mwl4 could then devote itself to other things and would then only need to coordinate with other developers. Updates would come more quickly and new features could also be developed. Everything would just be more dynamic. And last but not least, the project would be safer than it is now and it would not always be one step before the abyss. What speaks against it?

It cannot and must not be that only 1 (!) Programmer sits on it and is the only one who has a plan. If he dies, gets sick, or just doesn't feel like it anymore, then we can close the shop. I have been a Patreon donor from the very beginning and currently see income of almost $ 6000 a month. Surely something useful could be made with that? Can't you hire an employee for at least half a day? Can't you work more closely with SCS? I guess that SCS indirectly makes the most income through ETS and ATS multiplayer. Should multiplayer be discontinued, it will be much more difficult for them to sell maps and other DLCs. Also at the risk of being stoned now, but maybe you should talk to SCS about adding a multiplayer directly to the game? Maybe even as a permanent position? That would solve an incredible number of problems. No matter what the future will look like, what you will ultimately choose. Ich habe gestern mal verschiedene Shortcuts auf dem Lenkrad ausprobiert. Tatsächlich funktioniert bei mir die Funktion überhaupt nicht (oder ich bin zu doof dafür). Egal ob "ESC", Taste "M" oder was auch immer, es geht nicht. Hm, ich werde nun mal die Logitech Gaming Software aktualisieren. Vielleicht hat sich da ja ein Fehler eingeschlichen. Ansonsten weiß ich auch nicht mehr weiter :/ @Mike Souler Kannst Du tatsächlich mit dem G29 Lenkrad (mit dem "x"-Shortcut) den CB-Funk aktivieren?

Danke für die Antwort! Andere Tasten habe ich ehrlicherweise gar nicht ausprobiert weil es bis dahin keine Notwendigkeit gab. Aber ich werde das nach Feierabend mal ausprobieren und dann berichten!

Hallo, Ich habe das Logitech G29 und es funktioniert mit ETS2 auch Super! Allerdings würde ich gerne die Taste "x" für das CB-Funk gerne auf eines der Lenkradbuttons legen. Ich weiß das man die Taste selbst nicht ändern kann, das steht so auch bei euren häufig gestellten Fragen. Aber in den Logitech Lenkradoptionen wäre das eigentlich auch gar nicht nötig, da ich die Taste "x" einfach einem Button zuordnen könnte. Und das habe ich versucht, klappen tut es leider trotzdem nicht :( Ich verstehe das nicht Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Hat es jemand geschafft einen Shortcut auf das Lenkrad zu bekommen um den CB-Funk zu aktivieren?
