I did. It's been 3~4 days and there's been no response email or otherwise. Why I came here.

Yeah, I tried entering that directory already. Three ways actually - navigated there in the file tree, used steam to open the game directory and copy it directly, and also typed it by hand like you pointed out.

Hello. First off, sorry if this has been addressed in some obscure corner of the net, but I've searched for three days now, tried a number of things that I figured might work, and haven't come up with anything. In that time I've also had a support ticket in that hasn't been responded to. So, basically, it's what the title says - I double click the launcher, and I get a nice little window that says "Cannot validate game version. Would you like to try again?" I've tried: -Reinstalling ETS2MP multiple times (without mods) -Ensuring my steam profile is public (save for comment permissions). -Choosing a beta test version [temporary_1_15_01] in my ETS2 settings instead of running 1.15.1 (didn't do a thing). -Choosing the 1.5 public beta in my ETS2 settings (again did absolutely nothing) -Running ETS2MP.exe with administrator permissions -Running ETS2MP.exe in WinXP compatibility mode -Spam clicking yes on the error window (was worth a shot!) Steam is running and ETS2 runs without issue. Personally I think it might be an error in the account registration vs my steam profile since it took a few tries to get that going so I could download in the first place, but I haven't a clue how to fix that aside from the support ticket I submitted.
