Hello M8's :=) Today I will tell you all the information about Gear and Adaptive Automatic Transmission. As a priority, I'll tell you about what is the Gear, Transmission and Adaptive Automatic Transmission: Gear: A part of transmission - or you can say a toothed wheel that is used to transfer motion from one shaft to another (when it is in mating with another gear - on another shaft) and also gear is a just a part of transmission which helps distribute torque from engine, where as transmission constitutes the entire setup from clutch, gear, transmission shaft to the differential. ie every thing between engine and driving wheels. Transmission: A bunch of shafts enclosed in a system (housing) - with a number of mounted gears, clucthes, bearings etc. Motion is tranferred from Input shaft to the output shaft (that may pass through the intermediate shafts - to get required gear/speed ratio) with the help of gears. Clutches are meant to engage the different gears. Adaptive Automatic Transmission: The 3 modes basically change the RPM range for the gears, ECO will shift on lower RPMs and Power will lead the engine close to the red band and then upshift. ( Example: Features such as Sport and ECO mode in cars depend on the this feature) I'll explain 3 features found in Ets2 now: High Power Mode: If you need to be told in a short and clear way, High power mode is almost identical to Sport Mode found in our cars. when you press the gas pedal in this power mode, your vehicle goes more use power than usual and this way your truck consumes more fuel than usual. Normal Power Mode: If I have to say it in an understandable way, in this mode that does not force the power of your truck, if the more power your truck has, you can accelerate more without any using property. ECO Mode: The term “Eco Mode” actually stands for the economical mode in the your car. With its button on the left of the steering wheel, its function is to alter the certain features of the truck mechanically. It is mainly used while driving so that maximum miles can be covered with a gallon of gas or a liter of fuel. TruckersMP team is doing a lot of work on this problem,Of course this depends on the speed of your Internet but there are now many solutions for about this problem,there’s no single way to reduce your ping, but instead a number of possible solutions – it’s a trial and error process. The first, and simplest, solution is to close all other programs and windows on your computer, making sure that there are no active downloads running in the background that might be affecting the ping. Another issue may be that someone else in your house is running a bandwidth-hungry service, like streaming Netflix in full HD or playing online games. The more devices that you have connected and actively using the internet connection, the higher ping you’ll have. If you’re still getting a high ping, try and move your laptop nearer your router or, better still, connect your computer directly to your router using an Ethernet cable like the cheap AmazonBasics CAT6 Ethernet cable or powerline adapters, of which me recommend the TP-Link AV2000 2-Port Gigabit Passthrough Powerline. This overcomes any potential issues that you may be having with Wi-Fi and poor signal strength, which may affect the latency of your internet connection. It’s also worth checking the wires between your router and the wall box, making sure that they’re all plugged in fully – we’ve had a few experiences with cable connections becoming loose over time, and tightening them has helped the problem. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to try the oldest trick in the book: turn your router off and turn it back on again. Specifically, unplug the power cable from your router and wait around a minute before plugging it back in again. If your setup comprises of a separate router and modem, make sure you turn both off and not just the router. The next step would be to consider buying a new router. If you're just using the default one supplied by your internet service provider, you're probably not making the most of your connection. Upgrading to a better router like the ASUS-AC88U might help you get improved connection speeds, and potentially improve your Wi-Fi coverage too. If you’ve followed all the above steps and you still have a bad ping, the only thing left to do is call your internet service provider. Hello Mate I'll give you these advice to help you solve this problem. 1) I moved C:\Users\...\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 entire folder on same drive where the game is install. It seems that the game run better if is on same drive with profiles, mod,..folders For me: - ETS2 Docs - D:\Euro Truck Simulator 2 - ETS2 Game - D:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2 Change on your ETS2 Shortcut -> Properties -> Shortcut -> Target, adding -homedir "your new path" For me : "D:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64\eurotrucks2.exe" -homedir D:\ -nointro 2) Change on D:\Euro Truck Simulator 2\config.cfg One of the biggest problems for me was the "shadows" on game, even when I set them to minimum from games settings. For who don't care about shadows in game (like me) my recomandations are: uset r_cloud_shadows "0" uset r_fake_shadows "0" uset r_sun_shadow_texture_size "0" uset r_sun_shadow_quality "0" 3) Settings in game "Graphics" window - Refresh Rate: Default refresh - Vertical Sync.: Disabled Here you need to test, sometimes Enabled is better - Scaling: 100% I use NVIDIA Inspector for setting my video card driver. - Antialiasing (MLAA): OFF Big problem for all gamers - High Dynamic Range (HDR): ON Here you need to test, sometimes OFF is better, but you lose in quality, and game become too "dark" (less effects, all climates, days, ... seems to be the same, game become boring) - Depth of Field (DOF): OFF Not have a major impact on FPS. From what I know, this settings, make a blur effect on far images, like a fog. Turn ON if you like. - Sunnshafts: ON Is ON for same reason like HDR - Color Correction: OFF Here you need to test, sometimes ON is better. If you use some mods with impact on image, (weather, climate, skybox, other graphics mods..) keepit OFF, else you cancel your mod settings. 4) - Anisotropic Filtering: Minımum Is hard to explain in few words, but you can see the "effects" of this setting on distance images when the viewing angle is sharp (especial to road lines in curves, fences ...). This settings have a major impact on FPS, for me. For other players is not a problem. Setting to MAXIMUM (right side) give you a better quality for image but decrease FPS. I set this to MINIMUM because I do Anisotropic Filtering with my graphics card (read NVIDIA Inspector Settings). Maybe I will slightly increase the value from the minimum in the future tests. 5) Other Changes See which mods you use. Maybe graphics, weathers and traffics mods are your problem. If without them the game goes much better with your settings, you have a problem with the mods and not with the settings. For traffic mods you can also reduce the max_vehicle_count from traffic_data.sii and so increase FPS. If you do not have a powerful computer, do not load too many mods. Hello Mate You have been kicked out of the server because your Ping is high. I'll give you some advice on how to reduce your Ping: 1. Move closer to the router. If you are using a Wi-Fi connection, decreasing the space between your gaming device and your router will increase your Internet connection strength, which will in turn decrease your ping. - While this step isn't likely to fix your ping issues entirely, it's a good rule of thumb. - Items such as walls, floors, and other physical obstacles will impede your wireless signal. 2. Close any background programs and websites. Having bandwidth-heavy programs like Netflix, YouTube, torrenting services, and even other games running will severely affect your ping. This applies to background programs and websites on all devices, not just the one on which you're gaming. - If you have any background downloads, pause or cancel them. - Non-Internet-based programs won't affect your ping, though they may affect your game's performance. 3. Reduce the number of devices using Wi-Fi. Routers and Internet connections can only support so many devices, and each in-use device will detract from the available connection speed and increase your ping. - If you live with multiple people, this might be impossible. The next-best thing is using an Ethernet connection. - Consider putting your mobile devices in Airplane Mode while you game, since doing so will pull them off of the Wi-Fi network without forcing you to use cellular data. 4. Use local servers. Playing on a server in your country (or, more specifically, on your side of the country) will dramatically decrease your ping if you're used to playing on other countries' servers. While you may have to sit in a lobby for a few minutes before you can join a game, the higher performance is worth the wait - Many games allow you to sort game servers by location or country. Connect your device to your router via Ethernet cable. As long as the router isn't the problem,your ping will almost always be lower on a wired connection than on a wireless one. - If this doesn't lower your ping, your router is most likely causing your low ping or the internet connection coming directly from your ISP could be to blame. 6. Restart your router and modem. If your network equipment has been running non-stop, it may not be functioning properly. Removing the power cables from both the modem and the router, waiting thirty seconds or so, and then re-attaching them will refresh your Internet connection and potentially lower your ping. - It may take a few moments for your network to come back online after plugging the router in. Hello Mate According to the screenshot you gave us, I think the computer is 32 bits and so you can't enter TruckersMP. If the computer is 64 bit, the drivers for the game components of your computer should be missing, I'll give you a program called Driver Booster to update all the game components and after downloading this program this program will show you how many missing drivers are involved in the game.
