    Happy birthday!

  4. Thanks! The new launcher is downloading this patch+wintermod extremely slowly though unfortunately, looks like it will take a while!
  5. Fixed it by resinstalling the multiplayer mod and running the logitech profiler aswell as ETS2MP as admin.
  6. Hi all, As the title says, since the update to the TruckersMP client launcher i've been unable to get force feedback working on my G27, but only in multiplayer, it works fine in singleplayer and all other games. I have to run ETS2MP as admin otherwise it doesn't connect me to the server when I enter the game, so I tried running my G27 profiler as admin aswell but to no avail, I think it's something to do with this but I may be wrong. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this please?
  7. Great stuff, thanks again for a rapid patch! =)
  8. Loving the new speed limiter settings on EU1 (60 / 120) and I appreciate the bugfixes. I do like the idea of a roadmap though to show planned development ideas, though I understand that this is a profitless mod and not a product, so just a big thank you for all the work you're doing for us to enjoy =) Regards, MoonSponge
  9. I hope they fixed this crash to desktops for me too! I run an AMD Radeon R9 280 and have been just insta-crashing upon entering towns & cities lately, even where there is no visible fps drop prior to it crashing. Here's hoping!
  10. haha all the 'kool kidz' saying stuff like "omg, nerds, if you want realism go outside! *tut* gawwwwd" Seriously? Why did you buy a truck simulator if you get bored easily when driving slowly? haha, there's no logic in that. If you didn't want realism and you think that driving slowly is boring, why on earth did you buy a truck driving simulator? SCS added an option to disable the speed limiter in singleplayer because nobody else can suffer at the hands of your no doubt aweful driving when you're in singleplayer, but multiplayer brings in a whole different issue, and the speed limiter belongs in place to ensure that everybody follows the max realistic speed cap of a real truck across most of mainland Europe, regardless of whatever terrible excuses they have for wanting to go faster... My favourite is "Well I drive perfectly safely doing 120kmph" lol. Most people seem blissfully unaware of how poor of a driver they are in-game, they don't check their mirrors as often as they should, they don't look left or right before pulling out of a T-Junction, they don't slow down to a stop before looking left and right and THEN pulling out of T-Junction, hell.. Most people I see on the roads here can't even keep their truck & trailer firmly within their lane! I'm going out on a limb when I say that maybe, MAYBE 30% of the total player population actually drives properly (properly meaning what would be classed as legal road usage in RL), and from my experience the real figure is farrrr lower than that. My point is that alot of you think you're good drivers and can handle more speed, but the reality of the situation is very different, you can't, but usually only the decent drivers around you can see that. If i'm around another driver for long, either as i'm being overtaken, when i'm overtaking, driving behind someone on a narrow B-Road (country road) or whatever, I have come to expect them to do something dangerous, clumsy or just plain stupid due to having no control over their truck, but if you confront them about what they just did wrong, they'll swear blind that they're the best driver in the world and have no idea what you're talking about... So giving them the ability to drive even faster imho is just daft, and i'm glad the speed limiter is being put back in place. While i'm here actually i'd like to ask alot of you to read the highway code, as it's very rare indeed that I see someone actually following it at all times online. The end.
  11. You guys are confusing the 2 different sides of the argument, those pro and those against the speed limiter, there never was a singular group known as "The community" in this argument, there was only those for and those against it, which are both represented in this thread. The sides havn't changed, just the pro speed limit people have won twice now, as it should be in a realistically simulated enviroment. You can never please everyone, so the best they can do is stay true to the type of product they're offering, in this case a realistic truck simulation MP mod, meaning realism should always be given priority in these decissions to stay true to the original point of the base game.
  12. Oh dam that made me so happy Thanks for sharing!
  13. Thanks, I voted but it's not an official thing, the OP isn't a dev or anything solid unless i'm missing something.
  14. What's the source for this info about the speed limiter coming back tommorow and there being EU1 & 2 with different rules again? Can someone link it for the rest of us please
  15. Was that directed at my post? As it makes zero sense. Firstly, you yourself have just stated your opinion and that's exactly what this forum is for whether you like it or not, so learn some manners and try not to speak in contradictory riddles next time. Secondly, the aim of the game is to be a simulated truck driver based in a calm, relaxing enviroment, while respecting the road rules and other road users. The aim of the game is NOT to overtake other drivers (infact in both RL and written in the MP server rules, it is against the rules to overtake another truck unless you are going significantly faster, ergo it is not something that is supposed to happen often). If your main objective is to overtake other trucks, a racer, then you're in the wrong game and won't enjoy your stay here for long, as you'll get bored of the lack of rewards and sparkly trinkets you get for playing, even as you're pelting down the motorway at 200kmph. From what you wrote, all you seem to want to do is have your foot to the floor trying to overtake the guy infront of you, until you, the other guy, or both of you crash because you were racing. Even if your ignorant remark wasn't directed at my post, my point still stands.
