Limit the Heavy cargos and Doubles trailers to EU1
Siskin replied to Vellaco [ESP]'s topic in Rejected
-1 I disagree with this just as I disagree with all artificial limitations. The solution to less rampage is not artificial limits on speed or cargo, but player choice. How can that be done? Perhaps a reward system for good driving. But definitely not limiting or removing content. -
+1 Admins can make mistakes as well. Currently if a report is mishandled, the only option left is to make a feedback ticket. Case and point: 4 days ago I made a report. One person did a reckless overtaking. Running out of room, he slammed into the truck he was overtaking causing a crash that took the entire road and I couldn't stop in time and crashed into him. The perpetrator called the innocent driver he ran into "idiot". I said nothing, and moved on. My ticket was closed with the admin saying "You swore at him so ban cannot be applied." I wrote a feedback ticket and have been waiting for 3 days. It's still untouched, presumably due to a large number of feedback tickets in the queue. I can only wonder how many similar cases there are. This would decongest the feedback queue since it would only be used for significant issues rather than admin mistakes.

Evidence would still be manually added. However... if you prefer to move to in-game reports, there's a different way to do that. Basically the one major problem with in-game reports, is the fact that there is no recording. What I would suggest instead is to keep the in-game report system but add recording to it. Now, implementing recording from scratch would be very counter-productive, and have major performance issues at the beginning. I recommend looking into overwolf and the replay HUD plugin they have. It keeps the last X seconds in buffer (where X is a value that can be set) and when you press the hotkey, it stores it as a video. Compression is very good, it uses an average of 20 mb for 60 seconds of footage, yet quality is good enough to be useful. It has no impact on performance which is why I use it for my reports while playing on a very weak laptop that requires bare minimum graphics in ETS2. You could develop a similar plugin (Or contact the developers of that plugin to provide API), and when a player clicks report in-game, a 20 mb video of the last 60 seconds would be uploaded to your server and attached to the report. If that is too large of an impact on available storage space (I can't make estimates as I do not have access to statistics of the number of reports made), you could use the youtube API to store them on a TruckerMP account. This would involve a significant amount of coding, as well as possibly a partnership with overwolf and making it a required software (I can already see the waves of protests on that) which but it would be a top notch system. Players would only have to click report in-game, and admins would have access to video evidence as well. This is not perfect, but perhaps it can be a starting place to build upon.

First point: It is the player's responsibility to stay rested and if they do not, it is their fault and they will have to suffer the consequences, just as it is their responsibility to stay in the lane, obey right of way, not cut corners, etc. This is a simulator after wall, not Need for Speed. Second point: Sleeping areas should be non collision zones so it would be no more of a chaos than delivery sites. It also fixes the empty job list. So a solid +1 from me.

Suggestion Name: Add sorting to player listSuggestion Description: Add a "Sort by name" and a "sort by distance", ascending or descending in the TAB player list.Any example images: Nope. Why should it be added?: In crowded areas it is next to impossible to find the person who's spamming CB, who rammed you, or simply who passed by you and you want to see their profile.

Suggestion Name: Redirect in-game reports to website and auto fill some information.Suggestion Description: Remove the in-game report function and change the action of the in-game report button to open the website and automatically fill in the TMPID (with a mention that it comes from in-game as guarantee for the admin that it is the correct TMPID without needing further proof in that regard), date, and server. Why? The in-game report function is currently rather useless since it requires a admin to be online at the time, the queue to be empty or almost empty, and the perpetrator to continue doing something illegal after the admin starts watching. The only truly functional method to report someone is through the website. This suggested feature would speed up the process of reporting so it's less of a annoyance to the player who takes the time to fill in a report after getting rammed by someone going the wrong way for example. Often I find myself getting kicked from the server because the entire process of preparing a report takes too long. Any example images: Nope. Why should it be added?: Makes reporting a faster and less inconvenient process for players. Abusive reports are still dealt with via the reputation/max nr of reports system, so it would not negatively affected the workload of admins.

This was the first time I replied on the topic of jobs missing, so it hardly qualifies as "always". And what you call "a way to fix without doing anything", I call A very immersive behaviour where you actually need to rest between jobs, adding to the realism. I suppose it's a a matter of preferences. So, while I do not agree this is a bug (or do not see it as a bug but a feature, no pun intended lol), I do agree that it should be optional and not forced on everyone.

There is. Click the player name, then click the mute button at the bottom. What they should add is sorting player list alphabetically so you can quickly find the spammers in crowded areas. After 5 minutes wasted just going over the list looking for the spammer names I just gave up and disabled CB completely.

For people saying "you can just turn it off": That's silly. Why should I as a player rob myself of the usefulnes of the CB because no action is to be taken against abusers? This is akin to saying "If you're bothered when people go the wrong way, ram you, block you etc, you can just go back to single player." It's absolutely silly. Action must be taken, but the smart way. Channel 19 being the main channel that everyone listens to, is perfect for short communications like "Go ahead, you can overtake", or "Oh hey dude. Let's talk. switch to channel 15", etc. Overusing channel 19 however, should be penalized since it blocks other useful communications. If you want to talk to your friends, switch to any other channel where you are free to talk and play music as much as you like. This is the same IRL, the common channel is used only for requesting and giving information. Conversations are taken to other channels to keep the primary channel free. But unfortunately just like in-game, there are trolls. The only difference is that real life cannot be moderated and it's up to the decency (or lack of) of each individual driver.

WoT contracts store the damage level on SCS servers, there is nothing you or the truckerMP team can do for that. Unless you're suggesting someone write a hack to break into SCS servers and edit their database to fix your damage lol. The only thing that you CAN do, is record and report the players who do so. A first offense will be a very short (24 h iirc) ban, but it stays in their record and ban duration gets up. at 4 or 5 I think it was a 1 month ban. After that it gets permanent.

I had no problems in 0.2.2.2.2 but after updating to 0.2.2.3 I have what looks like a missing texture bug. Video:
