  1. Late reply I know. This is a nice update but one problem I have with it is that for the new ranks system it doesn't take all your posts that you made before that update into consideration so it makes it unfair for old forum users. So I'm starting at newbie rank even though I made 700+ posts before the update and a good amount of reactions. For the new badges system it does grant the rewards for all the posts you've made before the update (such as the 500 comments/replies).
  2. The kamaz truck is pretty cool. I have used it in the Southern Region, Rusmap, and Great Steppe map mods since that truck is common in Russia and in some of the surrounding countries. That thing is an off road beast and that engine screams.
  3. I understand it's not easy to have AI traffic synced for a few thousand players as opposed to just 8 people on the SCS convoy mode. Many of the roads outside of CD road and Germany are mostly dead and it would be amazing to have AI traffic to drive with while also seeing the occasional player come by instead of just completely dead roads, especially in the DLC areas. I could see it potentially bringing in much more players to TMP. I know it's not easy to give a release date but are there any new updates on how progress is going? I did see that last update on it but there's not much good info on it and doesn't go into good detail: https://truckersmp.com/kb/105
  4. A tip with the freecam if you're playing singleplayer, you can teleport yourself anywhere using the freecam by using ctrl + f9, make sure you're close to the ground so you don't take damage when teleporting. And the goto (city) command is also useful for that purpose.
  5. The type of hard drive you have (HDD or SSD) has a big effect on it. Of course an SSD would load your game faster which prevents this from happening most of the time. Unfortunately there's no good fix for it except for connecting in an area with little to no players and then try garage/save teleporting back to the city you want to start in. I would take a look at this popular suggestion that has ideas for TMP to fix it, more upvotes and replies might help (even though it has been up for almost 2 years with nothing done about it):
  6. The biggest problem is the HDD, I don't think it has anything to do with internet connection, or at least not much. The problem is that if your game takes too long to get past the loading screen and load the terrain up while connected to the server it kicks you, since it starts connecting you as soon as you click on "Drive".
  7. I gotta say this convoy was bad just from the starting city, the way the starting city was setup was not good at all. The road that leads to all the companies was blocked by road barriers and admins so I couldn't pick up my job. They should know that not everyone just hauls an empty trailer, I know a lot of people do but why not accommodate the people that actually take jobs and give them access to the companies that are across the city? Why wasn't that part of the city opened up? Also the admins weren't helpful and didn't clarify if I could go past the roadblock to pick up my job and someone else also asked about it in chat too with no response. If they at least responded that would have been nice. I didn't have this problem with the Real Ops V12 event back in September, which was the last convoy I attended before attempting this one. https://imgur.com/a/g5mbfJa
  8. Nice guide, another good tip if you have liftable axles and get stuck, try lifting it and that might get you moving again. Also I have done double trailers there myself and it's possible (not HCT version), the trailers might take some damage because they literally jump around the corner because of weird physics. You might need to get a bit of speed to get that to happen otherwise you'll be taking a bit of time to get out of there. I wouldn't recommend at all if you're not good at maneuvering them around tight roads though.
  9. Nice view from up here! I did some extreme offroading on the new popular Iceland road. Took a few screenshots of it.

  10. You should add the traffic info for the new road in Iceland on Promods. It's a new popular road just added in the promods 2.60 update, it's north of Holmavik. It would be helpful to see how many people are on that road.
  11. Wait, we're actually at 8, someone skipped a few numbers above.
  12. It usually has to do with PC specs, mainly if you have an HDD I think that's the biggest culprit of this, if your game takes too long to load and players don't load fast enough (if you're in a highly populated area). It's something that TMP has to fix. There's this suggestion that's open for discussion on the forum about it if you want to check it out, give it some attention so it may be considered:
  13. The new Promods Canada version has been out for quite a bit of time already I think. I can see people in Canada right now (https://map.truckersmp.com/), very small amount of people as usual, but there are people playing there.
  14. Look on grime's site for a couple videos on each of them. Also it says that the heavy winter mod "provides snowy/slushy looking roads and a snow covered landscape with less grass". https://grimesmods.wordpress.com/2017/05/18/frosty-winter-weather-mod/
  15. Not triggering in a NCZ zone would definitely be a good option and also I think it should not let you join the server until your game has fully loaded instead of right after clicking on "Drive", and then with maybe a 5 second delay after that so terrain can load in, then it will connect you to the server. I think this is definitely a big problem for people with HDDs and/or people that have low end PCs (unfortunately I do myself) and TMP should do something about it already it's very annoying. Although they have added a feature where if you leave your profile it brings you back to the TMP login screen instead of crashing your game so that's nice to get back in quicker but it doesn't solve the problem obviously.
  16. Well the thing is with the DLCs you need only 2 DLCs for Canada compared to Promods Europe where you need all of them which right now you need 6 of them (not including Iberia yet) Plus ATS DLCs are quite a bit cheaper too since they're smaller than in ETS2. Even cheaper if you buy the pacific northwest bundle plus you get Idaho. Plus we're around the autumn and winter sales right now. TMP still does events for ATS and lots of people attend those (Real Ops V12 back in September was a great event). So it seems like TMP still cares about ATS for the most part. For now ATSMP and even SCS MP is becoming pretty dead. I do find it odd how there's a higher ratio of people playing ETS2MP compared to ATSMP though. Right now as of this reply according to steamcharts the 24 hour peak for ETS2 is around 37k and 4k on multiplayer so that's around a 1:9 ratio of people playing ETS2MP compared to singleplayer or SCS MP. Since this is a weekday there's less people playing, weekend seems to be about 6k players higher but I'm sure the ratio wouldn't change much from that. ATS on weekdays has a 24 hour peak of around 6.5k and only gets around 125-150 players at most on TMP so that's a ratio of around 1:43 to 1:52. It seems like no one wants to join no matter what because only 125-150 players on that's boring. I wouldn't want to waste my time playing basically singleplayer with no AI traffic. It's gonna be hard for ATS to recover from that. Only if hundreds of players agreed to gather together to populate the server at the same time on a weekend that's the only way I can see it becoming alive again, however that would be very hard to setup. The only time that ever happens now is if a DLC comes out. Colorado DLC had a good influx of players for a few weeks. The initial release of Promods Canada attracted even more players just a month later in December 2020 and stayed at a healthy player count for 2-3 weeks I think.
  17. Damn barely any players though, you would think it would be popular on TMP since it's similar to the Kirkenes quarry road but for ATS. And there's multiple long dirt roads too. Back in June/July 2019 the Bellingham logging road in Washington was relatively popular for at least a month. That was the last time ATSMP ever had a bunch of players in one area and there were big traffic jams. I was hoping ATSMP could finally have a popular road so it would be alive once again but I guess it's gonna stay dead for now.
  18. It was a great event, it was my first TMP event I attended in a long time (which was probably around a year ago at least if I had to guess). I took a bunch of screenshots and there were some great operations: https://imgur.com/gallery/ohlvsH8 Thanks for hosting it!
