Yes definitely map the quicksave button somewhere useful, you can reload to that whenever you need, just make sure your quicksave was not in the middle of a road. The insurance idea is good though.

That's some very good ideas there! I find theres often problems with losing people in the convoy and communication errors. So along with the mic idea, maybe a notification one? Not everyone has mics, so maybe theres an option to broadcast a text message to the convoy members, such as "Stopping at next fuel station", or "Some members at (town name) to repair", or even simple ones like "wait", "slow down".

That's quite a cool idea. However, I can see some bad things happening with it. Lets say there's a group of 15 drivers, and they all decide to gang up on one player, they all downvote them, and now they have low karma. When other people see this from now on, they might also lower their karma, because they might just assume they are a bad driver, even if they didn't see them do anything wrong. Basically they could get stuck in an endless downward spiral of bad karma points because of one incident.

I guess it would require them to make some debris meshes. Its doable I think, since they are going to add a police car, so adding new models to MP isn't an issue, however in the base game, there isn't anything like debris, so they would have to make new code for how the physics of that would work in game. Plus would it be pieces from just your truck? Or dependant on what you hit? Could be a lot of work to have different debris depending on what you crash into.

Yeah if that part wasnt disabled, we would have people tp'ing into roads, dropping from the skies, etc. I just use the dev mode for the free camera for screenshots xD

Was hoping for some specific rules for the servers as well, but I guess that's probably still being written out and decided on.

Hi guys, so I've just come back to MP now that it works with the current version of ETS2, but I cannot see any thread on the rules and differences between the new servers? I checked in reporting, guide on how to get started, and the warning system threads, and there's no link to a list of rules. I assume they are just the same as before, but I have a lot of unanswered questions because of this; I've heard there's an AFK kicker, how long is the timer? On the freeroam servers, is there collisions still or not? (I'm having trouble getting online on any of the servers currently, so I can't check any of this myself) The only thing I've been able to confirm is that the speed limiter is on the freeroam server, that's all. I've yet to see anyone because I can only connect to the US server, and that was only briefly.

Ok. What is the timer on the AFK kick? I can't seem to find a thread anywhere on the new rules for the new servers....
