Girteka on the Top 100 list of the most innovative companies in Europe

Girteka Logística, for its achievements in digital innovation this year. In 2018, two countries in the Baltic States are on the list of innovators in the Top 100 Europe. Four companies from Estonia were mentioned in the people who drive, new technologies and business models and categories of technological training. Girteka Logística, founded in Lithuania in 1996, was classified in the category of corporate digital transformations.


At the end of March, "Girteka Logística", with a fleet of 5,600 trucks, installs the "Transics" fleet management system. The Lithuanian company "Girteka Logística" is mentioned among these worldwide names known as "Siemens", "Vodafone Global Enterprise" and "Booking.com". The British Business and Economy Portal "Financial Times" is read by an audience of approximately 2.2 million people per day.

Girteka Logística is the largest FTL carrier in Europe. The fleet consists of trailers, less than 2 years old, and large and comfortable tractors of the brands "Volvo", "Mercedes-Benz" and "DAF". The company currently employs more than 11,000 drivers.

130 radars destroyed in two weeks

There are more than 600 radars out of service, 130 of which have been destroyed in recent weeks. All because the French accuse them of being mounted in non-dangerous zones and only to "hunt" fines.

The radar attack worsened in recent days, when 130 more radars were destroyed, of which 102 were fixed type, with an estimated value of € 21,000, 13 were selective (€ 46,000), others were autonomous (€ 64,000), plus four sophisticated mid-speed radars, which determine the speed of all vehicles on a particular section, with a unit value of € 150,000. In total, more than 3.7 million euros of publicly owned equipment, paid by taxpayers, will be replaced with cost duplication.

Attacks such as these are punishable by heavy penalties to the prevaricators, who risk payment of € 3,750 and a couple of days of community work if they are caught plotting a radar, punishment that triggers to € 30,000 and two years in prison if the destruction is more severe .

French government prepares to suspend tax increase on fuels

The news was advanced by a government source, who added that Prime Minister Edouard Philippe should announce the suspension still today.
