  1. After eciving a second monitor, I've started using Dual Monitor setups for a lot of my Simulators. ETS2 was the one I was looking forward to the most. I was delighted with the result. It works near flawlessly! This was however until I tried TMP. I'm using AMD EyeFinity with a resolution of 3840x1080 to incorporate both displays as a singluar screen, which works great in SP, but in TMP it seems to squash the entirety of the two screens onto my left (non-main) monitor, monitor 1. Monitor 0 is left blank with nothing on it. Does TMP support Dual Monitors, or is it only single and triples?

EDIT: I've now gotten both monitors to show ETS2, but it looks like this when its running in the Dual monitor setting (3840x1080)

  2. If you're talking about adding DLC from a different store, it all depends how you got the files. If you used steam codes that you bought from a different store, once verified, they should appear in your steam library. Go to ETS2 and right click "Properties", then go to the DLC tab, it should look something like this:

    VpW210E.png

This will show you all the DLC that you currently own, the items with a tick on them show you which ones have been installed and are currently running in your game.

    Hope this helps you out!

  3. Make sure that you are not running any betas for ETS2/ATS, this can be checked by doing the following:

    1. Right Click on the game in the library and click on "properties"
    2. Click on the "Betas" tab
    3. In the selection box, make sure that "Opt out of Betas" is selected, as shown below.

    2vpvOCa.png

This should help fix the issue you are having! Hope this helps!

  4. Try using the file checker that is available for the free downloads, to make sure that the files are working correctly. Also make sure that no betas are selected for the game, the fact that they are showing up as incompatible and you're on 1.35, may mean you're on version 1.35.x, which may not work. Hope this helps!

  5. Lag in this sense really depends on where you are driving. I'd suggest turning down your graphics fully and seeing what the frame rates are like then. In very populated areas, such as Calais, Duisburg or especially Reyðarfjörður in Iceland, you'll get a lot of lag as these are extremely populated areas with lots of players. ProMods also requires quite a lot of rendering power to render all the details included in the map. Hope this helps you out!

  6. I don't think WinterMod is accepted as a mod by the servers yet, hence why it may not be working yet. You'll have to wait until the mod is enabled on the actual servers before it will work. This is the same with ProMods 2.42.

    Hope this answeres your question!

  7. I'm pretty sure HCT's are allowed all round the map now, as I've seen plenty of HCT's around the CD road. What's cool about the HCT's is people have been save editing them to have different rear loads, making their trailers more unique, so, to answer your question, yes, HCT's are allowed outside Finland ;D

  8. Welcome to this Guide! Today, I'm going to be very breifly go over some of the standard rules of the road that you may encounter whilst on your trucking adventure here on TruckersMP. I'll go into depth in a few sections on specific topics, and I hope you can learn something from this guide!

    I hope you enjoy! :D

    Speed Limits:

Every country has different rules regarding speed limits, but each EU country has certain laws that are Universal throughout each country. The differences mainly occur when you are on highways/motorways, but those are usually above the EU's Truck Limiters. In the EU, trucks are limited to 90km/h (56mph). As a trucker, you are legally requied to use this limiter. Going faster than the limiters set speed would be against the law, meain you'd be in for quite the hefty fine if caught doing so :troll:. Cities in the EU have a limit of 50km/h (30mph). Most country or cross country roadways have a speed limit of anywhere from 60-90km/h, depending on the type of road and the country, for example, a road in Ireland might have a limit of 80km/h, whereas the same road in Germany might have a limit of 90km/h. Always be aware of the posted speed limits and make sure to obey them.

    Roundabouts:

Roundabouts seem to be something that causes quite a bits of confusion. In some places in the world, such as the USA, roundabouts are a very infrequent sight. Not many people know how to use them corresctly, so I'll try to explain this as best as I can, with the aid of some pretty diagrams! First of all, there are three types of rounabouts you'll encounter in the ETS2 world. The Single-Lane Roundabout, the Double-Lane Rounabout, and the Russian Style Roundabout. I won't be covering the last roundabout, as they are pretty uncommon within the game, and I genuinely don't understand how they work, they're a lot different to the ones we have in Mainland EU.

First of all, indicator usage. Indicators are something that most definietly need to be used on a roundabout. In a RHD country (Ireland & UK) you will always end up using the Left turn sigal, where as in a LHD country (Rest of EU/Russia), you'll use the right indicator the most. Indicators should be used as you approach the exit you want to take. For the first exit, you indicate in the direction of the exit as you approach the roundabout. For going straight through the roundabout, you do not indicate for the direction of the exit until you pass the first exit. For third and fourth exits, you indicate in the direction of the roundabout (Right for RHD, left for LHD) until you pass the second or third exit. You then turn on the indicator for the direction you are exiting.

For roundabouts with double lanes, you should be in the lane closest to the kerb for exits 1 and 2. For exits 3 and 4, you should be in the lane closest to the middle of the road.

When approaching a roundabout, you must give way to those who are already on the roudabout.

Below are two quick diagrams to explain the process visually, for RHD and LHD setups.

    LHD:

    roundabout_three.jpg

    RHD:

    roundabout-large-diagram.jpg

    Motorway/Autostrada/Autobahn/Snelweg exits/entrances:

In most situations, when exiting a motorway, you must give way to traffic on the connecting road. So if you come to an off-ramp, that connects to a standard road, the vehicles on the standard road, have right of way. You must wait for a clear and safe opening in the traffic to enter the road. When entering a motorway, you must gain as much speed as possible to keep with the glow of traffic. Mirrors must be carefully observed as you merge with the main lanes, and try to do so before the lane ends.

    Motorway/Autostrada/Autobahn/Snelweg:

When on a motorway, mirrors must be observed at all times when merging from lane to lane. In most countries, the lane nearest to the centre of the motorway is the fast lane, where as the lane closest to the side of the road is the normal driving road. In most countries, you are only allowed to use the fast lane to overtake. However, in some countries (For example, the Netherlands) there are some specific cases where trucks and HGV's are not allowed to leave the normal driving lane. This is usually singposted. Just like all roads, keep an eye on signs you may encounter and always be prepared for danger!

I hope you learned something from thi guide! If you have anything you want me to add to this guide, please let me know and I'll add it in!

  9. From watching the video, you seem to be on very high ping. The servers have an inbuilt "kill switch" for times where the ping becomes way too unstable, to the point that you may become a danger to other players. The only thing I can think for you to try is try run your PC on a wired connection, rather than Wi-Fi, then try resetting your modem by unplugging the power cable for 10 seconds, reconnect it, and allow it to restablish connection. Hope this helps!

  10. Hey there! Welcome to my guide! I'm glad you're here! Today I'm gonna be showing how to take better photos, and try and at least prove to you that, you don't need a NASA super computer to take some amazing photos! So without further ado, let's crack on with it!

Disclaimer - I have been doing photography IRL for the last 6 years, so over time I've developed an eye for it. The more photos you take, the better you will become overtime. You're not gonna be taking amazing photos straight away, like everything else in life, it takes time, effort and patience!

    Set up:

In this section I'm gonna go through how to setup steam and your game to take better photos, I'll explain everything as I go along!

    1. Open up Steam, pretty simple huh?

    NsTi4Ob.png

    2. Click "Steam" in the top right corner, and select "Settings"

    mDW7Ksb.png

    3. Select "In-Game"

    hCjoGEd.png

    4. You want to click "Save an Uncompressed Copy" and make sure it's ticked (VERY IMPORTANT) and define a screenshots folder. Now whenever you take screenshots in game, they'll go here!

    4XYIggW.png

    5. Open ETS2/ATS

    myy87om.png

    6. Go to Graphic Settings

    T0Unv4l.png

    7. It's hard to tell you what to do exactly, but try to match these settings here as much as you, try maximize your quality as much as you can. You want to be trying to get as much quality at the lowest usable FPS as you can, the photo is gonna be still anyway, so massive FPS drops don't really matter ?

    K2qT5OU.png

    That's this section done!

The most important part about this guide is that you realize that photography is all about messing up and experimenting. Below, I have my settings for the in game camera, feel free to copy them!

    hJWbuJO.png

I strongly advise that you play around with theses settings, that's what this guide is all about. Any pictures you take here will be sent to the screenshot folder you defined earlier. Just remember that! They will no longer show up in the steam library anymore (...or, will they?). Now I know there's still gonna be people out there saying, "Zak, I have a literal SPUD of a PC, how the hell can I take good shots?". To that I have one thing to say. It's about artistic representation, not how great your equipment is. My Ex used to boast how he had a Canon 80D, which was far superior to my Canon 1300D, but where he fell down is he didn't know how to use it, hence, I was still well capable of pulling off better shots than he was. To prove this, I'm gonna take two photos, one on my normal setup, the other with the absolute 0 setting, all graphics on their lowest possible settings!

    Wmwu1FR.png

    wx8qL9C.png

It's all about angles, try zooming the whole way in and move around to get your subject fully in frame (on screen) and try that! Tilt the camera, go wild! Try copy how I set up those photos and use them in different scenes. Look at other photographers around TMP and see how they set up their shots, try copy them and give it your own twist or flair! The more shots you take, the more experience you're getting under your belt, and it the long run, the better you shots will become!

I really hope this guide helped you out! If it did, please feel free to drop a like and let me know what your opinions or tips are! Let's help each other out!

  11. It all depends on what you are using for controls. Yes, you're partly correct, the physics engine isn't made for cars to be used on it, but it mostly relies on the handling of the driver.

    • If you use a keyboard, don't "hold" the key. Use sort adjusting taps to turn, also, don't turn at fast speeds, that never ends well! :troll:
    • If you're using a controller, turn the joystick slowly, and keep the speed down! You can also mess with the steering sensitivity and the linearity to try and get a slower turn speed
    • For wheels, all I can recommend is keep it slow and steady, if you use a 900°+ wheel, you really shouldn't have a single issue with it, but if you use less than 900°, mess around with the sensitivity and the linearity of the actual input!

    Hope this helps out! ^^

    Dear @KeikoDeer

    Follow this step:

First, check if ETS2 process is running. If so, end it and try again. If this doesn't help delete core_ets2mp.dll, re-open launcher and re-download file.  Path: C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP

Just did it and it launched perfectly! Thanks for the help!

  13. I decided to start playing this mod again, after taking a quite long hiatus from ETS2 altogether. I tried opening it yesterday and every time I did, I got an error saying I needed to update, maybe to a beta? I don't know, but I tried it again this morning and now I'm greeted by a new error message, this time I can't even open the launcher. I've tried redownloading the mod and restarting PC but to no avail. Any ideas?

For some random reason i've seen people running the game in OpenGL mode. So as a first step i suggest doing that. I've almost seen a similar problem with rain. Some other steps you could do are; Verify the game files, run the game once in SP mode like i mentioned earlier, re-install your graphics card driver by using DDU and have a look to your DirectX library.

By the way, if you want join our Discord server so we can have a talk there so we don't have the delay over the forum.

I'll have a mess around with thse and see what hapens, running it in OpenGL could be all it needs to fix it. I can't chat on discord right now, as I'm not necessarily at home right now, but I'll make sure to get back to you if I need any more help :D Thanks for the links too :)

  15. Hey, I've got an issue with TMP. I keep getting this screen-glitching whenever I pass a new scania with a flag on it. Any ideas? :o

Here is a picture of it too, happened with a friend.

  16. Suggestion Name: Extend the render for DevCam

Suggestion Description: Make it possible for people to render players outside the 500m proximity of their truck

Why should it be added?: Now, I could be completely wrong here, but do GA's have the ability to use the goto [City] command and load in players, regardless of their proximity from their truck? I feel everyone should have the ability to use this command. This would make the jobs of many different people a lot easier with this.

    For example:

I work with a media group (Virtual Videography)  and we do a lot of convoy videography. We however find that we constantly have to keep moving to keep up with the convoy and as a result, loose vaulable shots. With this improvement to the '0' camera, we would be able to stay in a city and track the entire convoy with the DevCam!

This could also be used for locating players that are in different cities too! =]

Thanks for reading this! Hope you take it into consideration =]
