  1. Howdy, TFM DJ ccowie. As it happens, I am also from Ontario. I guess over time we'll get more detailed information on specific borders where doubles are allowed and where the system will auto-kick. A question for anyone to answer, are all versions of double trailers permitted? Or just certain ones? Also, the restricted area, I am assuming that is simply because of high traffic and congestion, and therefore the intent is to prevent further headache or trolling with the longer rigs?
  2. While I was driving today, I could have sworn I saw something like a B Double in Germany. Is this allowed? I thought the system prevented you from doing this. Did I see correctly?
  3. I agree with the concern of screens going dark. In ATS, you will actually doze off, and the game blocks out all input, which would result in collisions. This is a bad idea. ETS2, I'm not sure if it does that now, but it will dim the screen. If fatigue can be functional, but without any of the side effects, like dimming the screen or dozing off, this would be fine. Because very frequently, I find my freight market empty, and I have no idea how to reset it. I'm sure a lot of people are the same, no clue how to fix that, other than going to single player, forcing sleep, then going back to multi. That's a waste of time. Teleporting I hear might fix the freight market manifest? I do not know of this, but if it works, then perhaps an easier solution is to publicize this. But I would definitely like to be able to go to a rest point, and sleep in multiplayer. That would help with the freight market issue, which I think is one of the main reasons for this to be suggested. But for safety in multiplayer, all other features like dozing or dimmed vision should be disabled.
  4. A lot of the responses here are basically, "You can just turn off horns" or "Just avoid heavy traffic areas." These aren't really a solution, because I do use horns for communication. If someone is coming up behind me, one quick beep from the horn, that tells me, "Hello, I'm here!" And if that driver is looking to pass, I'll settle more carefully into a lane, return a beep, and that can communicate, "I recognize you are here, and I will allow you to pass." So, turning off horns entirely is just a bad idea. As it happens, I have actually thought about horn spam recently, and how it could be solved. Some people have voiced concern about how to best go about having the server decide how much horn is too much. In order to solve this problem, there can be two calculations. If your horn remains active for a set amount of time, say 15 or 20 seconds, a hard set number, auto kick. I'm not sure if the server could be programmed to also just ignore your horn input, that might work too, but the point is the same. A hard limit, 20 seconds, action is taken. But what about people who are on and off their horn a lot? Calculation two. If your horn is active for thirty seconds in the time of one minute, not consecutively, so ten seconds on, five off, ten on, five off, ten on, kick. This kind of thing happens in some old-style chat rooms with flood protection, a set number of messages in a set period of time. This concept exists already, and I believe it could be implemented into an auto kick for horn spam. The base idea, auto-kick with horn spam, I want this, and I support it. With the algorithms I described, I think it would work very well.
  5. I'm referring to the appeal in feedback to the higher admins. I know standard reports can be processed within a few days.
  6. "Spamming our report system with useless reports, reports using continuous freecam (Cam 0) to record or anything similar can lead to a ban from the report system." What's wrong with freecam? I recall one particular instance where I used freecam to record a nearby ongoing incident where a user was performing some kind of road block in Duisburg. I was able to record the incident, and provide a suitable report, without putting my truck in the middle of it. Freecam is a very useful tool, and I feel prohibiting the use of freecam will throw out a lot of useful reports. Just last week, I used freecam to show a truck driving the wrong way on the highway. This allowed me to clearly show username, travel, and actions, without me having to try to launch my own truck over a median in order to get close enough. So again, why is freecam apparently not permitted? "Impersonating other users, political figures, Moderators or acting like someone who is more superior. This can be through the way you speak, your avatar, your license/interior plates, username and/or your game tag." "The way you speak" sounds like, "If you sound like you know what you're talking about, you could be thought to be a game moderator, therefore, you cannot remind users of rules while citing the exact rule." This is something I have done once or twice before. Furthermore, gamer tag, or plates? Elaborate. What is allowed? What isn't? I have put SAFETY on a plate on my scout, or CAUTION as my gamer tag. Is this a problem? Clarify. I feel this rule is incredibly vague. Final issue, it is stated that on appealing an appeal, it cannot be more than a month old. But what if it takes a month or more to get a reply?
  7. Can I contact you regarding a report I'd like to submit against a user you banned today?

1 - Don't post on Admin's profiles to try and hurry up the report system, never works.
2 - If the person you want to report is already banned don't worry about trying to report him. Just enjoy the game.

I'm not trying to hurry anything. The report system won't let me report the user. I already did all the work, but I just couldn't submit the report. Thus why I'm asking here.

  8. If your speed is dramatically limited, then I certainly agree that there may be some kind of limiter setting which you may or may not have access to. However, if the difference is from 90mph to 85, for instance, a slight decrease in maximum speed, then it's likely the weight of the trailer. More information about what you are encountering would be useful in fully diagnosing the issue.
  9. Trucking Gekco seems to be correct here. I had a very similar problem, where I got somewhere in the area of one billion euros while taking a ferry. After dismissing all my drivers, I have never had it happen again.
