    One tradition that is not mentioned in the text above: in Germany, Children leave their cleaned shoes in the foyer - and they will be filled with lots of sweets on the next morning ;):D 

    I know I'm actually too old for this. But I can't resist doing this every year again. 

    Btw for years the 5th of december has been the only day in a year on which I'm not too lazy to clean my shoes xP
