  1. v1.3.10 - Added Korean - Improved error visibility - Fixed using installation paths containing non-ASCII characters With this release the minimum system requirements have been updated; Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 are no longer actively supported.
  2. The vague way I can put it is that it crossed a line. Requiring online alter-egos and strict opsec around them would mean a team of maybe a handful of moderators instead of the 90+ we have.
  3. It's not about anger management or trying to make them less annoyed. It's about preventing personal vendettas that are much much more likely to develop when people can assign that direct blame to a specific person. Based on my experience doing online content moderation in various capacities for over 12 years, there's a lot less abuse aimed at the moderators when their actions are not publicly attributed to them.
  4. Yes, but the issue generally comes from people taking the punishment personally and wanting to go after the person responsible. Going after a stranger who may not have anything to do with it other than doing the same tasks in general is much less likely. Prefer to use preventative measures instead of reactive ones, especially when in some cases it has escalated beyond things done online.
  5. The point is not to make moderators faceless and anonymous. The point is to stop giving a clear target to people that don't take punishments in a civilized manner.
  6. There's a couple of things. First, the bans prevent players from playing regardless of where the ban was issued. Tipping the scale from more bans from web reports to more bans in-game isn't going to change the overall rate of bans issued in the short term. Second, while there's a lot of incidents that are unfortunately missed, the vast majority do follow the rules so you're unlikely to notice an impact on the concurrent players regardless of what happens with punishments. It's easy to forget that most people don't even drive on C-D at any given time (right now it's about 28% of players on Sim 1).
  7. I believe we tried that but the results of it were near-entirely negative (though I don't remember the details). It's better to avoid having long delays in the first place, but it might be a long road to get there.
  8. v1.3.8 - Added automatic game path detection during first time setup - Disabled play button while Steam is downloading an update for the game - Updated translations
  9. Adding the other game or changing install paths without reinstalling is possible in the new launcher.
  10. v1.3.7 - Added German - Changed default installation path to consider buggy paths - Fixed tooltips not showing up - Fixed version number
  11. v1.3.6 - Fixed an error causing global announcements to not be displayed - Updated third party dependencies
  12. v1.3.5 - 2023-04-15 - Added a warning to Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 users about upcoming system requirement changes on January 1st - Steam will no longer support these operating systems and we will be stopping active support along with them - Updated localization - Added Dutch localization - Updated external dependencies - Made optimizations installation size
  13. v1.3.4 - 2023-03-09 - Fixed an error in Chinese (Traditional) date formatting
  14. v1.3.3 - 2023-03-07 - Added language support for French, Italian, Georgian, Portuguese and Chinese (Traditional) - Fixed an error in update processing leading to a visible issue in pending update detection - Fixed an error in console args in connection to quotes and spaces in options (e.g. -homedir "D:\My Awesome Homedir")
