    • The map icons of members of the same virtual trucking company are highlighted using a different color
    • The highlighting of other members has a priority over Steam friends by default. This can be customized in the settings

    Hey there!

    We are proud to announce that a new version 0.2.5.0.1 has been released focusing on bringing improvements and fixes to the new chat system!

     

    Chat Features

    • Added a setting for a preferred position of HUD elements on the screen. By default, they are automatically positioned based on the vehicle interior variant

      • For example, the chat window is positioned on the right side of the screen when the UK variant of the interior is used

      • This can also be modified via the interface settings

    • Added an option to retain the input text after closing and opening the chat window

    • Fixed issues with fractional elements in the new chat HUD. Under specific scaling, the message background no longer overlaps each other or creates gaps

    • Fixed the chat history being reset after loading a save

    Hi there!

     

    We are incredibly proud to announce that a new version 0.2.5.0.0 has been released marking a new milestone for TruckersMP. 🎉

    In this release, you will find a completely overhauled chat system, both on the system side and the user interface.

     

    Features

    • The chat window automatically scales based on the resolution. This can be further tweaked via the interface settings
    • All character sets (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Georgian, ...) are now properly displayed in the chat
    • Message texts properly break to fit the chat window. They no longer span across the entire screen
    • Messages can be as long as 200 characters without cutting off earlier
    • The history of messages is a bit larger now with the possibility of scrolling through it
    • Every player message is timestamped. This is customizable and can be hidden via the interface settings
    • Player mentions and slash commands have a dynamic autocomplete
    • The chat input now supports all text commands (selecting text, pasting, copying, ...)
    • ... and many other small improvements

    Fixes

    • Fixed crashes caused by inappropriate and irresponsible edits to trucks

    • Fixed many crashes in the new Featured Zone area caused by an insufficient game's GPU memory management
    • Fixed input handling when on rare occasions, pressing Escape to close the chat also opened the game's main menu
    • Fixed disappearing vehicle license plate accessory followed by the error of "Invalid accessory data type" (mainly happening for MAN TGX 2020)
