  2. In SP, it depends of the truck, just to add more realism to the game. If I'm driving a new generation Scania, I would be using an automatic transmission (with some eco / power mode, so the behavior depends on how far do you press the gas pedal), and if I'm using an old Renault, or an old Scania (like a 114h), I would be using a manual, so you know the difference about driving experience between an old truck and a new one. In MP, I always use manual, no matter what truck would I be driving. The experience in MP is different (in SP I use physics and truck mods, where you can't go more than 80 km/h because you will have a rollover crash), and I need total control on my truck, just for emergency situations (example: emergency braking on a hill= with an automatic: 80% of possibilities to get stuck | With a manual: having skills with the clutch is the important thing for not getting stuck.
  3. I think it's a great idea. It happens something similar to me. My loadscreen takes some 10 to 13 seconds (first load after turning on the PC), meanwhile I am already connected, losing seconds of ghost mode. The solution to this is to load the game previously on SP, so the next time, will be faster. Obviously, I never quit the game on the middle of the road, so accidents don't happen to me. Anyways, it's a better idea to change from seconds to units. So more problems will be solved, like @Glada_Laxen situation. Regrettably, it's easier to improve a better (efficient) system, rather that teach players. I mean, TMP can make videos or reports of the correct way to quit the game or make saves (a very easy thing to do, I know). But there'll always be people that wouldn't see them and cause the same problems that nowadays we're argueing for. Thinking of an official rule, so someone could ban those people that don't learn would demand a harder work from the Game moderation team (see if the situation deserves a ban or not, or if he was corrected parked or not), so again: it's easier and more efficiente to improve an existing system, so more problems will be solved.
  4. You're right. Why people used to go 120 km/h? (some of them causing accidents because no braking or overtaking in dangerous zones). Because the game physics allows them, you can see how you can turn at 120 km/h (without heavy load), and the truck won't rollover or loose control. A big potential feature to reduce fast people is the game physics. More realistic driving =less people going 150 km/h because they will crash every second. This has a disadvantage anyways: Some players will keep crashing because no learning of the game physics and I think it will be a bigger problem (more accidents due to control loose / braking issues). So thinking it twice, the speed limits are the best option for now.
  5. I think it's nice. Before the update, we needed to be aware of fast players (people who goes 120/150 Km/h) overtaking 24/7. So, in those times I prepared fast trucks, when if I was unloaded, I could accelerate to 120 Km/h without problem, just avoid such differences of speed between players. Obviously, if there was a slower truck in front of me, I almost never overtake it (On C-D Road / Country roads), I just slow down and make a mini-convoy xD. Now after the update, I almost don't use those trucks and bought some normal ones. Also I load my trailer / truck more often. Feeling less scary of high loads.

  7. +1 To this!. I totally agree, there're some reports where I can't get the /pinfo because they do Alt+F4 right after crashing, loosing the /pinfo with the TMP ID and Steam64Id. The way I solve this is just finding his name at the TMP site and in almost all cases find him. But it's a tiring work to do, specially if you are the victim of an accident and you're working hard to get an id.
  8. +1 I think that there're some players that play all-day and make mistakes where they need to be banned, those bans could have full duration. But a ban for the same mistake on a player that plays one time per week would be with a less duration.
  9. In my opinion, it's 0. It could be confusing, arrows going up and down looks better for me. Watching the players at the menu while you see the distances (with a period of seconds where you realize if a truck it's coming on the opposing lane) it's a waste of time where you could already overtook the truck that you wanted to.
  10. In my case, I report a lot. But my steps to report are these: The accidents occurs. For example: I stare for a moment and see if the player stops, leaves, or for at least says something. If he stops and explains me the situation ("Oh man I'm sorry / Damage? or something like that) it's possible that I'd forgive him. Accidents happens isn't? ||| But if he leaves, uses F7, or just disconnects (like in the video), there's no way that I wouldn't report him. In the case of the video, I've reported the player and now has a ban for about 3 months. If he would stopped or at least said something, I would have thought about it...
  11. I'm a player that records a lot (even players that have made accidents to other players without including me). But I've never stopped in the middle of the road just to record a player or an accident, the only case that I do that is when a player rams me and my engine stops. There I just take the /pinfo and then move to a side (if the engine works, if it's not: F7 or /fix). But in the other cases, I put my hazards on, pull over and brake, leaving the road free.
  12. +1 To this. It's a nice idea. We know that anyone needs a special help for overtaking. If we just concentrate on the road, the accidents can be increased. The game is not perfect and has a very limited draw distance. It's possible that "well, I don't see anyone, let's overtake this guy", and then the game draws a player at certain distance that is dangerous for both and ¡Boom! Crash. Those situations can be avoided by using this simple system. Also for those who want "realism" and think that it's better without it: an On/off feature. And I think that all of us will be happy
  13. +1 For me. I think it's just a perfect feature that the game needs to have. So it will be easier to understand player names: From left to right | Tag: (maybe a VTC) | Username: Name/Nickname of the player | Flag: country where the player is from.
