Accidents have nothing to do with the speed limit. The problem here and everywhere else is the players who don't want to follow the rules.2 points

Today, we're delighted to share with you a little more information about a project we have been working on for a while, the Scandinavia DLC Refresh. We have hinted at its existence during our recent Special Christmas 2024 Live Stream, so we thought we may just as well explain what it is all about. The motivation for starting this project was to bring the existing Scandinavia DLC content closer to our current standards, so that when you pass through it on the way to the new region covered by Nordic Horizons DLC, the difference is not too abrupt. As one of our most popular and oldest expansions for ETS2, with over 5 million copies sold, we wanted to refresh the Scandinavia DLC to bring the region closer in quality with our newer additions. The ambition is not a total rework, but we aim for an extensive touch up, a “reskin” of the region with updated textures and technology. This will create a smoother driving transition for players travelling between the Scandinavia DLC and our upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC. What changes and additions are coming with this project? Our rework team is hard at work reskinning the region with updated materials for vegetation, road textures, various assets, and more. We are also creating and adding a few new rest stops and fuel stations along the road network, along with new and updated road junctions. While some places will only receive cosmetic improvements, some places will be reworked from ground up. Want an example? We are excited to share that the team will be reworking the capital city of Denmark, Copenhagen! As with previous rework projects, the older version of the city will be removed and rebuilt from scratch. This is undoubtedly a significant task for the team, but the end result should be well worth the time and effort! We look forward to sharing more information and screenshots from our progress of refreshing the Scandinavia DLC for Euro Truck Simulator, which will ultimately come as a free update to all owners of this map expansion. Keep an eye on our official Social Media Channels for the latest news on all our upcoming projects for both ETS2 and ATS! Until then, keep on truckin'. View the full article1 point

Ghost mode is set automatically when inside a NCZ zone or when you spawn in. It remains for 5 seconds roughly. Any attempt to use Ghost mode outside of these parameters or to abuse this feature is strictly a breach of rule §2.1 - Hacking/Bug/Feature abusing. Please ensure you read up on this rule before you think to use the ghost mode feature to your advantage.1 point

As many others mentioned, the speed ain't the reason why C-D is always chaotic. It's the drivers. Even if you lower the speed limit, trolls will still troll around and bad apples will still be bad apples. On top of all that, think about this. Currently, the speed limit systems are like this. City: 60km/h (unless speed limit is higher than 60), and everywhere else is 110km/h. Even in cities, if the speed limits are different, the max speed you can go is different. Now back to C-D. Like people have mentioned, there is a part of C-D where the speed limit is 80km/h. This is mostly due to the (70%) straight roads at that part. If we were to make that part 60km/h as well, wouldn't it be pointless? Even SCS thought about this when making the speed limit and adjusted it accordingly, but if we were to just ignore that and make it 60, isn't THAT a waste of time? I see you have also mentioned about the more lanes, less traffic, uhh about that, just search 'Katy Freeway traffic' on Google. Lastly, I just want to say that even TruckersMP acknowledges about speeding and while not recommending it, actually allows it. §2 - Game only rules (omitted) Speeding, while allowed, is not recommended. Speeding can lead to accidents and can factor in a punishment decision. (rest is omitted) i hope u understand sleepy me typing english, gud night1 point

The problem isn't drivers doing 110. It's the drivers who ignore road rules. Queue of traffic? They overtake off the road to queue cut. Small gap btwn both stopped lanes? You bet a Skoda will be lane splitting. Accidents also happen because a driver in front gets lag with very little warning and the vehicle behind has the worst brakes (with rain enabled probably) to stop in time. I even had to swerve towards the shoulder to avoid a hard collision with the truck in front. The difference is, that's a city. CD Road lies in the countryside. Even if the speed limit was set to what the road's speed limit is, it won't reduce traffic or make anything flow normally in the typical problems spots. In my Gas Station suggestion about applying this tech, i was told it would be abrupt to go from 110 to a very slow speed and the vehicle would just pass through without having to drive the set speed. I even saw a video of someone using a Skoda and doing 150 through the gas station ignoring the speedbumps. Smoother? Maybe. Safer? That's a big nope. Like i said in 1, it's because of kids and those who don't care about rules who just ignore them. Illegal overtaking. Reckless merging that causes a collision with your vehicle. A troll blocking because they think it's funny. It also doesn't help that TMP Dev's & Add-on Team doesn't want to bother revamping problem spots. They want to see what SCS does with the revamps before anything moves forward. And, you've got the problem spots of the train crossing and the gas station towards Calais causing traffic on a 1 lane road. You can get improved gameplay experience by using the whole map. Even if you don't buy the DLC's. "Truck Sim" with cars and alternating vehicles. Some drivers respect that. Others are the one's who get banned (if reported on the web system). Once the map is improved, the driver's have to be improved. That is the only way see the revamp that could kill off CD Road for good.1 point

If this is put in place I'd like to see higher than 60. Some areas of the CD road have a speed limit in the game of like 80kmh at least, it seems silly to set this lower than the speed limit set by SCS.1 point
