Greetings truckers! It is time for the long-awaited return of the TruckersMP Tournament! The TruckersMP Tournament features some of the most competitive challenges in ETS2 on Haulie Island, our custom-built island! These challenges include the drag strip, knock the cone, dirt track and if you make it to the semi-finals, the racing circuit! This year, the Tournament will take place on the 23rd and 24th of November, so make sure to set a reminder in your calendar! Click here for more time zones. The Tournament will see hundreds of truckers attending to compete for the prestigious golden title of - ’’2024 Tournament Champion’’. This event is famous for its high-speed action, spin-outs, crashes, jumps, and drifting. It is an event you truly don’t want to miss! To get to Haulie Island, you will need to catch the ferry connections from Europort or Hull. Don’t worry, we’ve made sure the ferry price is affordable for everyone. The event consists of five rounds that are spread over two days, each with its own unique challenge. Every round will have some racers succeed, while some will, unfortunately, be eliminated. You must be available for the entire event to enter! Would you like to take part in this year’s TruckersMP Tournament? Then make sure to mark your attendance on our event page! All the results will be published on a forum topic called TruckersMP Tournament 2024 Results. The results might take up to 10 minutes before showing on the forum topic. Day 1 - Saturday 23rd November Round One The first event will consist of drag races, with eight players competing in each race. Here are the requirements and instructions on how to enter: Be available from 16:00 UTC. (The first drag race starts at 17:00 UTC). Able to understand English (to read event instructions). Connect to the TruckersMP Tournament 2024 server. Ensure your truck is fully fuelled, serviced, and prepared for the first event. (There is a service station and fuel station on the Island) Meet up at Haulie Island using the ferry connections at Europort or Hull. Enter the Drag Strip queue, following the designated signs! Please ensure you're familiar with the event rules before participating! From the queue, eight players will be selected (first come, first served) to compete in a drag race. The amount of players that will qualify depends on how many players attend. For example, if 432 players compete, only a quarter will qualify, meaning the fastest 2 out of 8 from each race will qualify. Whereas if 216 players compete, only half will qualify, meaning the fastest 4 out of 8 from each race will qualify. The maximum number that can compete is 432 players! After all the races have concluded, the fastest 108 players will qualify for the next round. *If you didn't qualify, you might still have a chance! Should a qualified player not turn up for their event, we will randomly select a runner-up that is online. Round Two Round Two will be your big moment if you have managed to qualify for the championship! Brace yourself for the infamous knock the cone event, the ultimate test of speed and braking precision. How late do you dare to slam on? If you have qualified from round one, please ensure you are online throughout as we will start to place you concurrently alongside the first event. Here's a quick overview of what to expect! You will only have one practice run to get a feel where the cones are at the end of the drag strip. Your goal is to knock the front cone (marked by the first of the two white lines) over WITHOUT hitting the back two over (marked by the second of the two white lines). If you hit the back cones (or cross the second line) you will be disqualified. The first to hit the first cone but not the second is the winner! Day 2 - Sunday 24th November Round Three - Quarter-Final The second day kicks off on the Dirt Track. This will start at 17:00 UTC! (The server will open at 16:00 UTC) This year you will be expected to complete 2 laps on the Dirt Track! This track will have its challenges like harsh turns, hills, and one tough terrain to drive on. Round Four Semi-Final Congratulations on making it this far! You will now get the chance to race on our sought-after Island Racing Circuit! You will race against six other players on our track with your starting position being judged by your finishing time on the Dirt Track! The top three from both races will qualify for the final! Round Five - Final Congratulations on making it to the final six! This is the last race of the series and you've managed to outrun (or brake) the competition and you will not leave empty-handed! Survive this round to be crowned the 2024 Tournament Champion! Didn’t make it to the final round and want to watch the grand finale? Then head over to the TruckersMP Twitch channel! Where the final round will be streamed. Rewards Qualifier Each Championship qualifier will receive a unique profile award! Finalists If you make it 2nd or 3rd on the final you won’t go home empty-handed. 3rd Place - 5 EUR Steam Gift Card + Map DLC of your choice. 2nd Place - 10 EUR Steam Gift Card + Map DLC of your choice. Wouldn't it be great if there were a direct road from Duisburg to Rotterdam? (The roads to Rotterdam and Amsterdam, along with the port, would become popular again, just like in the old days.)1 point

We are very excited to welcome you to another SCS On The Road episode. This one is going to be pretty special as we take you behind the scenes of the filming of the American Truck Simulator commercial! You might have thought we were filming in the heart of an American desert, but in fact, we were located near Malaga in Spain. This episode is hosted by our community manager, Alex, who sat down with special guests involved in shooting the commercial, including SCS Software CEO Pavel Šebor, who makes a brief cameo appearance. Pedro, also known as PUMIZ0 on YouTube, played the main role in the commercial. We are proud to have partnered with him, as we have done so for a couple of years; he has been a dedicated fan of our games for a long time and a key link between SCS and the Portuguese community. The commercial has already been used for some promotions over social media, and we have some plans with it for the future as well. Now, without further ado, let's take a look at this episode. Make sure to stay until the end as we show you the whole commercial there! We hope you have enjoyed this SCS On The Road episode and liked the commercial too. Remember to follow us on our X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, so you won't miss out on any upcoming episodes and other American Truck Simulator news. View the full article1 point

I'm more in favor having a second exit to the left instead of right, because the majority of the players going left towards Calais indeed.1 point

I would definitely support a realism server. Cars only for staff. (Although there is even a police truck now since very recently ). I see no reason why it couldn't be implemented. While an argument could be made that perhaps not that many people are interested in total ... I'm not sure that's so true. I think many people that would be interested left TMP to play convoy mode since it got released. There are also multiple servers up all the time with barely any players on it, so I feel there is definitely room for one more server. But of course, I don't know the logistics and stuff that has to be done to implement it. You could also, alternatively, remodel server 1 into a full realism server. I do think a full realism server would need a disabled AFK kick, at least for non-patreon supporters.1 point

A couple of months on since your original suggestion and I have never wanted something so much!! (Seen multiple people requesting a similar type of server, including myself) I’m loosing interest in TMP with the way things currently are! Sim 1 is just chaotic, especially the CD area, and you can try and go to a quieter area but it’s just not the same and you still have people trolling. Sim 2 has a ridiculous speed limit of 130! Like irl pretty sure max a truck can go is 90! So if you don’t want the chaos of Sim 1 you are forced to use sim 2 where drivers are using it as a racetrack. (Only arcade should have such speeds) My thoughts about the real simulation server: • 90 limit (WOT Speed) • collisions in companies (this is what makes it that little bit more real life you having to wait for a loading bay) • Car Free sever! (The game is called Euro Truck after all! 1 car free server won’t kill people) • Also love the no /fix command! I do feel though, if this server was implemented, they would strongly have to consider disabling AFK, this reduces the risk of drivers parking at companies and clogging up loading bays (assuming they would become collision zones) I also feel anybody who played in this server should receive tougher punishments if they are banned (by implementing this, you are encouraging people to drive professionally, and it is a way of putting off the trolls) Of course you are never going to get 4000 drivers in this server, but the way I see it you currently have 5 servers, only 2 really get good numbers to keep open, so you could easily revamp one of the existing servers, so it is not costing you money to set up a brand new server. Lastly, TMP consists different types of drivers, those who want chaos, those who want to troll, but Also a good amount of drivers who wish to drive together in a professional way as real as possible to simulate real life. Honestly, this server could be a huge success, and there is clearly demand for it!1 point

Hi there, It would be absolutely awesome to have a simulation server back agian, I really miss having the simulation server, a place where mostly everyone is respecting the road rules and not a car in sight, it would be awesome to go back to it and I would fully support the idea of a simulation server returning. Unfortunately as per the last changes we did, we moved away from the simulation aspect and moved for a bit more of an arcade experience. I would love to see a server back like this as it would entice the older players such as myself to come on more, and to chill way more. I'm quite old in the community now, and several of the players that used to play don't want to return anymore due to the lack of simulation feel and prefer to keep it on convoy mode for that reason, and I can compeltely understand why they do it, as they don't want to join the mayhem of the current servers. Kind Regards, Fezz98 TruckersMP Game Moderation Manager1 point
