After reading this thread, i'm baffled by the fact that some people who didn't like this change have stated that they've deleted TMP. Back in 2019, we literally had no server to play with our settings of preference and we sticked around. To be fair, there was no other multiplayer option back then, but i'm still here. I guess many others are too. And while you guys still have Sim1, you've already deleted the Mod. This is pathetic... I wish this change had come way sooner before TMP had lost so many players to the Road To Simulation.

Suggestion description: Hello, could you please add the possibility of adding one or a few new trailers in the game once a week/month, exactly as with the vehicles? Heya TruckersMP Community Last Sunday I had my first event as a TruckersMP Event Team Member: The Easter Egg Hunt I really enjoyed being the free roaming yellow egg! I had a great time with the players, event staff, and particularity with @BudokanTB being the other yellow egg I hope that everyone that participated had a great time, and I am looking forward to the next events. Suggestion Name: Improve current traffic light phase Suggestion Description: Custom traffic lights that may help truckers entering and exiting the Calais service station more safely Any example images: No images, but I have uploaded the video to show the current Calais in TruckersMP and how it looks with my custom traffic lights Why should it be added?: At the moment, Calais has traffic lights at the intersection but no traffic light for the service station, make it challenging for many players to enter or exit the station I have read the blog post titled "Project Update: Back to Basics" by our Project Manager, Jeronimo. He mentioned that "we had implemented map changes to improve traffic flow, but users were never asked for input, and after the fact signals reached me of players indicating that their 'fun factor' had been taken away and that we had made things more 'boring'. Through the survey, we learned that 65% of the respondents preferred driving in highly populated areas, and that 81% did not mind traffic jams. In fact, many pointed out that dense traffic (or, as others coined it, 'chaos') is what makes our multiplayer environment so enjoyable for them. One of the key reasons players mention why they play on our servers is because they like the interaction with other users, and that highly populated areas make it challenging and interactive. This thus raised the question whether traffic flow improvements is something we should have strived for; efficiency at the cost of fun!?" My idea aims to resolve a specific issue where some players will report "blocking" when someone exits the service station and gets stuck at the intersection due to a red traffic light. Based on my specialized knowledge in traffic light signal timing and phase planning, I believe that my custom traffic light design can improve traffic flow without sacrificing the fun factor. I have consulted with players on the TruckersMP Discord channel, and some players expressed concern about whether my custom traffic light design would still keep Calais highly populated. In my design, the red light lasts up to 54 seconds (currently it is 23 seconds), which will line up more players in Calais and create enjoyable "traffic jams". For TruckersMP, I believe with this traffic lights can help enhance the gameplay experience for all truckers by designing a traffic lights phase that balances efficiency and fun.

point 1., the fact that you cite real life and government articles you can tell that you are completely out of touch with reality and the community, the bulk of the community will be under 16/18 years old probably, and we are talking about a game, it is absurd to even make a comparison, point 2., it is not always true that the more offenses there are, the more reports will be sent; because you have to count that there are many "duplicate" reports that will be related to the same player, and useless reports that could have been avoided to be sent. Jeronimo shared that the ratio of reports did not change before and after "road to simulation." Before and after the implementation of "road to simulation" is the historical period when TMP was much more populated than now, the number of players started to drop so much only since summer 2021, so many years after the implementation of "road to simulation", whatever the number of reports was in the past, is definitely much lower now. Whatever logic you are looking for, will never be contrary to the fact that by logic the number of reports will always be lower than in the past, based on the number of active players on the servers after summer 2021, The higher limit of 110 was before "road to simulation" and when TMP was much more popular than now, do the math... You don't need to know what those numbers mean, you only need one sentence to understand the evidence: data and what you're seeing - i cant

I was referring to fetching local real world weather from a weather provider and automatically adjusting the weather settings in game. Example: any good flight simulator.

People who don't respect any other signs, priorities, even traffic lights, won't respect this either. And that's the majority of the people in the places where something like this would make sense. So IMO it would only be a waste of time and effort.

Yes, as you said when you think logically, such new trailers can be added to the game. In fact, I liked the second photo you posted

Road to Simulation was implemented because something similar had been suggested, because the situation with EU#1 and EU#2 had become unmanageable for the game moderation team and mainly because, at that time, the changes were in line with what the TruckersMP management wanted their mod to be. I hope you now have at least an idea about the "basis". This doesn't make any sense as a reply to what I posted. They could have kept everything as it was too. And from what we are seeing, nothing would have changed in the number of players. But they didn't. They added the new server that apparently more than 5K players wanted, based on the survey results, and this server is heavily underused. That's what I was referring about. And again, no relation to anything I posted. I asked questions in my first post today. Then, seeing that the answer by Jeronimo wasn't good enough for me, I replied to try and make a bit clearer what/why I was asking. None of my questions have been answered. I'm trying to make sense of what I see. If you're not going to help with that, please stop quoting my posts. You can of course, keep sending whatever NEW posts you want.

Hello, My old post is put in the trash by the admins which is quite sad as many people appreciated this post. As I see a lot of people who seem to be unable to drive respectful and careful, I wrote this little guide to explain how to drive. I know that the most trolls and idiots won't see this thread and most of you already know what I will write. That's why it's so important that you share this with all the people who need this guide. I still hope that the Admins also notice how important this is for our game experience and that they will include these rules in the in-game rules at least as recommendation to make this more public. General information: Do not use your airhorn for every tiny little ****. It should only be used in dangerous situations for you or others. Of course you can greet your friends, but please not to greet every truck you see. The most stupid thing I have ever seen are people overtaking on the left or right during a traffic jam. Guys, it doesnt make ANY sense! I don't know whats going on in your mind. There is a reason why you get in a traffic jam and when you try to get to the beginning of this jam you still have to wait there. And when you drive on the opposite lane you only endanger the oncoming traffic and it makes everything worse than it already is. This is especially for the traffic jams at Europoort. When a lane ends the in Germany so called zipper procedure applies. If they have to slow down because of you, wait for them. If you see somebody wanting to join the road and he can pull out fast enough in front of you flash your high beams or light horn to let him know that you are giving way. This is very useful on country roads and also sometimes in the city, when there are no signs or traffic lights. Thanks to xOceanSpirit for this tip. You should keep a distance to the preceeding vehicle of at least the half of the speed in metres. For example if you are driving with 80km/h you should have a distance of at least 40 metres. But I always recommend to have a higher distance as the synchronization is buggy sometimes and trucks might stop isntantly and then you have no time to react. Behaviour in the city In most cities the speed limit is 50 km/h, sometimes also just 30 km/h. These speed restrictions are not there for fun, so please drive as you are supposed to If there is NO sign indicating priority for YOU, you always have to give way to everybody who comes from the right. Only if there are signs or a traffic light indicating priority, you may drive before the others. But this needs YOU to respect these signs and to drive according to these signs otherwise it doesn't make any sense. When leaving a company it's a bit different. As companies are private grounds everybody who leaves a company must give way to all cars on the street. If you want to enter a company and somebody is about to leave it, it makes sense to give way to him that everybody has enough space to avoid any crashes. This should be clear but also use your indicators to indicate your direction you are driving to. At crossings also try not to cut the way of others Behavior on country roads Drive according to the speed limit! This should make sense... Many people just fall over because they think they can drive with 110 km/h on a country road. Do NOT overtake when it is not allowed. When overtaking is not allowed it is mostly because you cant look far enough to see the way you need to overtake. If overtaking is not allowed you see that on a sign (see section "Traffic signs", second picture) or when the lane markings are continuous like below: http://www.fahrtipps.de/img/vz/40p/295.gif When you see somebody overtaking you, i recommend to use the light horn to indicate that he may turn right on your lane. As the connection might be buggy sometimes this is really helpful for the overtaking driver to notice when the distance is enough. You may also use your normal air horn. If you see somebody parking on the side of the road, use your horn when your passing the truck. Sometimes these people do not look and they just start driving and you crash into them. Thats really annoying, so warn them before it is too late. When somebody takes over and you see oncoming traffic, slow down and drive as right on the street as possible. Then he can go back on the right lane much earlier. Turn off your highbeams when there is oncoming traffic Behaviour on Motorways: Remember the obligation to drive on the right (different in UK). Sometimes there are idiots who think they have to block the left lane. This is illegal and you may only use the left lane to take over. When you see somebody overtaking you, i recommend using the light horn to indicate that he may turn right on your lane. As the connection might be buggy sometimes this is really helpful for the overtaking driver to notice when the distance is great enough. You may also use your normal air horn. If you see somebody parking on the side of the road, use your horn when your passing the truck. Sometimes these people do not look and they just start driving and you crash into them.
