EDIT: There is now a video tutorial at the bottom of the thread. (2019-05-02) Do you want to get started with save editing? If your answer is yes, then you came to the right place. Before you remind me, I am fully aware there's already a topic on this: I wanted to create an in-depth tutorial for those who wants to learn save editing. It contains pretty advanced technical information. And It's easy to make mistakes, I do it quite often too. Please note I will only support Windows OS (64 bit) users. Step 0: Obtaining game def (definition) files Before we start, you can create a folder where you'll copy and extract the def files from ETS2 (and ATS, depending which game you play). It's not mandatory, but it's highly recommended in order to see the path and where each def files are located. You can use this tool provided by SCS Software, and place it in the folder you created. Then you'll have to copy the def file (def.scs) in that folder too. The file is located in the game installation directory: "C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/MY TRUCK GAME/" (Please note that when you're in the file explorer, it uses the back slash '\'). If it's a non-steam version, it would be in the Program Files. When you have both files in the folder, just drag the scs file into the extractor. Then wait until the black window disappears. You should be able to see some files and folders. You can explore the files in that def folder to get familiar with it. For example, if I want the chassis from the cement mixer trailer, it would go like: "def/vehicle/trailer/cement_mixer/chassis.sii" Step 1: Downloading required files -Text editor You can try the vanilla Notepad from Windows, but I personally recommend using Notepad++. Any other text editors should do. Another reason I love Notepad++ is because I can search for all occurance of a certain value and replace it with another value. Notepad++ Website -Sii file decrypter for ATS & ETS2 You'll need it to decrypt the save files. You can try to find or compile a different one if you want. Download Non Java based decrypter (404 not found) Sii_Decrypt for format 2 Sii_Decrypt for any format There's a new version with a GUI. Thanks to @Ali365Dash for mentioning it. Step 2: Applying necessary changes You'll need to make sure your save games will save in the appropriate format. Open your File Explorer and go to your Documents. For ATS and ETS2, the folders should be respectively American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. Once you found the folder, open config.cfg with your text editor. Then search (Ctrl+F keys on keyboard) for g_save_format, and change the number value to '2'. Then save the file (Ctrl+S keys on keyboard). If you want to do it on both games, you need to change it for each one. You'll also need to start the game in single-player, load the save game you want to modify later, save it, and quit the game. This will update your profile in the new save format. You only need to do it once for each profile you want to edit. Step 3: Save editing (now the fun part begins!) Very important! Always create a backup before each modifications! I simply make a copy before editing each time. I do not take responsibility for broken save files, game crashes or unexpected game behaviors. In the truck game folder (Documents->Your Truck Game), go in profiles folder (don't touch the ones that has ".bak"). At this point, I would recommend to sort the folders by modified date if you have a lot of them. Go in the folder that has been modified the most recently. Then go in save->autosave, and you should see a file called game.sii where all the magic is going to happen. Why autosave folder? Because that's the last modified folder when you quit the game. Another personal recommendation: copy the decryptor here for quick use. Make sure you are not running the game while doing this. Drag the game.sii (hold left click) into SII_Decrypt.exe. When you release your mouse button, a black screen should popup with some text in it. When the black screen disappears, open game.sii with your text editor. Bad result: Good result: Those _nameless.xxx.xxxx.xxxx are just addresses to differentiate each block. From here, I'll separate the different sections of save editing you can mess with. I also recommend to copy the address of each block you plan to modify, so you can refer to it quickly. You'll have to do it each time you save the game and decrypt the profile. -Bank -Player -Vehicle (truck) -Player Job -Trailer -License Plate -Paintjob/Skin -Color -Accessories Videos I might add more to this tutorial, or share knowledge from users with expertise in save editing.

Suggestion Name: new interchange for Calais entry Suggestion Description: Therefore the interchange still causes traffic jams even with added stop lights, I guess many other players already gave new looks as a suggestion. My version would be to take the road coming from Calais under the bridge and mirror the on and off ramps on both sides, so the cars going to Calais coming from the left and not right. While trucks heading to Duisburg take a 270 degree right turn to get over the bridge. That would in my opinion be a goo choice, cuase you don't need to recreate a whole new interchange with, which gets a lot bigger than the existing one Any example images: too big to upload ? Hey Trucker, Today I would like to propose a new function for the profile For example: For example, a player writes an inappropriate comment and you want to quickly remove this comment from your profile, then you should be able to delete this comment. Suggestion Name: Comment function Suggestion Description: The function includes the deletion of inappropriate comments (on the own profile) and the complete hiding of users (on the own profile). Any example images: Removing from advertising Why should it be added?: It is simply easier to delete comments than to create a report. It minimises the work of the forum moderators

Hey Truckers, For example: For example: A game moderator speaks to you and says that you should please change your Tag. Imagine that your English is not so good that you know what the moderator wants you to do. Then it would be cool if the messages of other players are translated directly into your chosen language. Suggestion Name: Ingame Chat Translation Suggestion Description: You can use the TAB menu to set the language into which the chat should be translated. You can also set whether the "Chat Tanslator" is active or not. Let's assume I set the translation to "German". Now all messages from all players are displayed in my language. Any example images: / Why should it be added?: It should be added because it should make playing easier for people who have not spoken English since birth. Also, it would be much easier for the game moderators to see if insults are being written in the chat or not.

Suggestion Name: Possible fix: Kick for Unreliable Connection Suggestion Description: Hello everyone, since TruckersMP refuses to do a reconnect button I have another Solution. Me and every single of my Friends have the same problem: If we are trying to go to the mechanic or garage in a city were many players are you get kicked for unreliable connection. So i dare to argue that this problem has everyone. Problem: you can't spawn in cities with many players. So the explanation is that you get kicked because you are having a to high ping while connecting. This is only a thesis but I'm pretty sure its like that. But anyways: The solution: What ever trigger this message /kick -- make an exception: Option 1: To not trigger in an No-Collision Zone. Note: This Option can also be Modified with Option 2/3. Option 2: A little timer so you can load everything. Option 3: To not trigger until the game from the user is FULLY synchronized. Note: When you are in a queue you also first load the map and then (if u are queue 0) you sync to the multiplayer. (= connect with delay -- but you still get (sometimes) kicked because you have to load much at once) I hope this problem is going to get fixed. Suggestion Name: Anti Cheat Memory Detection Suggestion Description: When using MP, there are background checks within the games memory for hacks/modifications being injected or/and hooked within a clients game. There are many ways this could be implemented within MP to ensure fair and fun game-play. Any example images: N/A Why should it be added?: Due to the recent updates of the rules I have seen an increase of post about users who use speed hacks, etc but adding some sort of 'anti cheat' to MP will limit and decrease the amount of users using these modifications. For an example of this already being implemented but not forced, TrucksBook use a memory edit check to see if modifications are being made to jobs, etc at any time. If there are modifications to the job, it is rejected on their website and flagged with a rules violation for anyone to see. What I would like to see is MP using a similar system which uses the recording system which then makes an automatic report against the user with video evidence so there are no excuses from the user. I would like to see what others think about this idea and maybe improve my base idea in ways. P.S I couldn't find anything regarding this on the forums, please link the thread if I am incorrect.

So in order to remind you, we will tease you a bit with some information and screenshots of the industries that are coming with the Heart of Russia DLC. We are planning to bring a couple of brand new industries with the upcoming map expansion. While we have already showcased the Food Mill Industry, we have one more up our sleeves, and we are extremely anxious to be able to take a closer look at it in the future with more detailed information and pictures. Which industries thrive in Russia? What could it possibly be? While some of the industries will be familiar from the previous ETS2 updates, we have prepared newly modeled logistic halls and warehouses. In addition to that, you will be able to drive through vast industrial areas, then take a look behind the concrete walls of factory complexes, and witness details such as old bricks, rough concrete, rusty pipes, and many other small parts worth discovering. Well, it looks like there will be times to bask in the greatness of the environment, but there will also be times to get to work and do what truckers are responsible for. Participants must ignore traffic lights unless it is unsafe to do so. Participants must remain in a single line. Overtaking is prohibited. Cars are prohibited except for event staff showing a clear tag. Participants must follow event staff instructions. Participants should park in their designated slots. Convoy participants must only leave the starting location when instructed to do so in an orderly (one by one) manner. Beacons are prohibited. Except for Event Staff. Advertising of any kind is prohibited (with the exception of the our official stream and discord server). Participants with consistent lag must remain at the back of the convoy. Convoy participants must have a trailer. Double or triple trailers are prohibited. Convoy participants may not use loaded heavy cargo trailers. Free-roaming on the server is prohibited. Yo no soy un experto, pero sé que hay un modo de convertir accesorios que no existen en el juego base ni en DLC en "locales" para que sean usados y funcionen en TruckersMP, simplemente, otros jugadores no podrán verlos, solo el jugador que los está usando. Al no ser un experto, yo no podré usar estas cosas, pero eso no significa que otros tampoco puedan. Este tipo de "local add-ons" está totalmente permitido en TMP y mucha gente los usa. Tus experiencias con reportes o feedbacks no tienen absolutamente nada que ver con lo que se está discutiendo en este tópico, así que no veo a qué viene mencionar eso aquí. De lo que se trata, cuando alguien plantea un problema o una pregunta, es de dar soluciones o respuestas. Si solo hubieras dado tus respuestas, no habría pasado nada, no todo el mundo puede estar al tanto de todo, siempre habrá cosas que uno sepa y cosas que no. Lo que no es de recibo es venir como si solo uno mismo sabe de lo que habla y los demás son unos ignorantes. Incluso aunque fuera cierto, que no es el caso, evidentemente.

Cuando alguien pregunta por "mods" para personalizar "más a fondo" los camiones, cualquiera que vaya a responder lo hará respecto a "mods", no a DLCs. Porque no es algo que no exista, es algo comúnmente usado por muchos jugadores. Existen mods que permiten personalizar los camiones más a fondo que cualquier DLC, así que las respuestas anteriores de Rubenxuuu o de Antonio son perfectamente válidas. Los accesorios de cualquier DLC son visibles para todos los demás jugadores, tengan o no los mismos DLC, desde la versión 1.42. A veces pretender ser un experto e intentar dejar mal a los demás solo hace que uno quede en ridículo.
